got the old girl goin again
78 John Deere Spitfire 340. not quite running perfect yet but good enuf to get it out and tip it over a few times. need to get out of town and open it up to clear the cobwebs. noisy topend does concern me a little. it was given to my wife( thats her riding it..the poor, poor girl's a Packer fan) a couple of years ago. she rode it at her brothers house out in the country last year. he needed the room so the sled lives in the city now. only weighs 245 lbs(the sled not the wife!!) so it seems kinda fast. gotta love the old vintage stuff.

Does that sled have a motorcycle engine or a John Deere diesel engine?
