How Much for An '06 250?

Mine is getting junked. Dang it!! But, there is this guy that wants to sell his '06 unmodified Ninja for $1650 that has 9050 miles on it.

Is this too much? Mine was the same year, had Two Brothers exhaust, modified back end and had less that 4K miles on her for only $1500.

Thoughts, comments are welcome!

Don't know if it is a fair price but I would check local listings in your area, Craigslist might give you a vague idea.

If the price appears fair, I'd have the bike checked out, unless you know a lot about engines. One obvious thing to check for is if it has a record of the maintenance done on it. Primarily, oil changes of course.

Good luck!

That seems fair I paid 1800 for mine with 2500 miles on it, but it was flawless.

It seems a bit high to me. I would check it out to see what shape it's in and it to see how it feels. Also ask about the maintenance, like oil changes and an area that most people neglect is the valve check / adjust. Offer him $1300 but don't go any higher than $1500.
Have you thought about a new-gen model? Some of the 08's and 09's are going for around $2000.

My sister just bought an 06 for $2200. It was in perfect condition other than tire pressure. It only had 1600 miles on it though, so who knows?

Thanks all!

I'm going to go check it out. I would, though, like one of the newer ones. So, I suppose we shall see. I went to go get a few things from my bike at the shop. The guy even handed me the foot peg that fell off. She looked so pitiful up there.

I'm probably going to shop around for a bit and see what I can find. I would prefer, though, to get one that's black or some other white bike. I can't help but want to match while riding. I know.. vain. But, hey... a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

I would check the local dealerships for leftover 2009s, not sure what price you are looking at I got a new 09 for $4300 out the door, not a wow great price but a couple of hundred off what they were asking OTD and the 10s have shot up in price a great deal. I have seen 08's on craigslist for 3000 and a little less. so good luck.
