Cool Yet Another Painted Stock Exhaust

Slightly tacky, yet totally personal.

Just for clarification, a new main stay and brake lever are ordered and on the way.. :]

I say pick up a paint can or two and see what you can do. You just might be amazed at what you can do with a spray can. No big investment in equipment required. You just need patience and a great imagination.

Oh and great job Flying Pig.

What to sand with?

I just painted my heat shield black two weeks ago....now i'm dying to do the exhaust but I don't wanna mess it up. Did u just sand it with low grit sand paper or did u do it some other way?

and nice job

my exhaust was the first mod i ever did so i was intimdated but i had some help from people on the forums and its real easy. just get some 100 grit sandpaper, and some rust-oleum high heat paint semi gloss is what i used cause i still wanted a shine.. take off the exhaust and dip the sandpaper in some water with some dishwasher soap in it.. then sand the pipe down. then wipe it down with a wet cloth. then spray it from a distance if u do it to close the paint will run down the pipe and clump i messed that part up a lil. so start far away it should be very dim on ur first few coats. then just keep spraying coats every 15-20 minutes until it looks nice. What i did is i did all of this on the little pipe protector before i started on the pipe to make sure it came out well.( because if i messed that up it wouldn't be as bad as messing up the pipe!) here is my results and i left the tip chrome cause i like it better than all black like ive seen other people do. If u have any questions u can PM me.
