should i trade my zzr600 for a 2nd gen 250?...

okay guys and gals, i need your advice...the only time i go on the freeway is when i go to the canyons about 40 miles away...mostly i ride in what i call my "backyard"...and spent around 40k miles there the last 4 years...

http://www.lateralg.org/roads/orange/laco3.htm

i already have a 2004 ninja 250 but i hear that the 2nd gen 08+ handle better...how much better is the question...the 05 zzr obviously has more power but more work on this road...and i could probably get a straight trade...

anybody out there think this is a smart move?...

That is a tough question . I had a 2005 zzr 600 a Blue one. I loved that bike. I kick myself for trading it in a Honda VFR 800.
But I am very happy with my 250 . I want to get another 250 for street riding and just riding around.
SO I guess I would do the trade. I loved the zzr. Best bike for the money. But the heat coming off that thing was crazy .

Straight up trade I would be tempted but only for newer one (09-10) with really low miles.

I personally wouldn't....but you know...whatever. You already have a 250, why not just upgrade the hell out of that one?

If I were you, and I wanted a new 250, I would trade in the older gen one for a new one because why own two 250s when you can have a new one AND a sweet ZZR.

I'll take your ZZR600 off your hands.

That's just the bike I want to upgrade to.

Wow. I'm so so jealous right now!

To the OP: I would sell the older 250 and try to pick up an 08 or 09. Might have to chip in a few bucks, but it would be worth it. I'd hang on the the ZZR.

You are nuts to trade an 05 ZZR for a 250R..... unless yours is tired or not so great.. you can get a 250R for between $2500-3500... your 600 should be worth more than that.. unless its 'tired' or you are getting a new 250R.. JMO Your results may vary.

gitoy, thanks for the link. This will make my stay in Cali alittle more fun.

As far as the bike goes, get a GSXR-1000.
