Jokerio's ZX2.5RR
My buddy Jokerio, rented a Ninja 250 last month from Brian Bartlow of Feel Like a Pro http://feellikeapro bike rentals for an AFM race. Joe posted respectable lap times and must have had a good time because he decided to put a racebike together for next year. In typical Jokerio style, he has put together what I feel is the best looking Ninja 250 I have ever laid eyes on, What I find more impressive is that he was able to put this together in a little over a month.. enough words, I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story..
Let me be the first to say it "Nice Job Joe".

Now I'm down to a more reasonable 295 lbs.... Speaking of weight, the rear wheel is something like 28 lbs. Just think how magical that bike would be if it didn't have boat anchors for wheels ? Oh well, It's still great fun ! |

What parts did you remove to save weight?

Some things removed, and other things changed-out.
Oblivious things removed were,... All the street equipment including things like, radiator fan, unnecessary brackets and hardware, it all adds up. (It's amazing how heavy that Thai steal and aluminum is ! ). The stock gauge/faring support is quite heavy, so I fabricated my own out of light-weight aluminum. Things changed out to save weight range from, Bodywork to rear sets, from the exhaust system to the battery. Shoot, I saved over 5 pounds on the battery alone. But it doesn't come cheap ! |

Nice job - I have been thinking about the weight of the bike recently, you hit everything on my mental list and then some.

Very nicely done! I sure wouldn't mind a track only bike!

53 lbs !!!
That is just amazing! I can't imagine how it feels. Although I did think it was a bit chunky for a 250 to begin with. |

Hey Joe! Welcome to the forum. I think I met you briefly at the last round (I'm on the only other white 250). You were running a motard before R7, right?
The bike looks great and I'm glad you're joining the fold I like what you've done with the gauge. Is it at all awkward to have it rev to the "bottom"? |
