OG-
It gets better. When you do a return, you can select either to have your credit card reimbursed 100% of your purchase price or take a 110% store credit. In addition, I believe they give you something like 10% off on your next purchase if you do an online review of the products you buy.... or something like that. Poke around their website and you'll be surprised what a great company this really is. Glad you got your stuff... still waiting for them to get my helmet in. For us in Hawaii, I've found their shipping rates to be excellent, especially on larger items. Not many companies know the meaning of customer service these days. It's refreshing to find one that does and goes above and beyond. |

Helmet: Scorpion EXO 400 (Tribal blue)
Jacket: Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 Mesh Jacket with a ICON yellow vest for riding around at night and on base Gloves: Scorpion coolhand Standard blue jeans and tan army boots. I've been looking at getting some overpants to wear over my jeans or whatever I am wearing, esp when I know it will be raining. I have looked at the Scorpion Deuce Mesh and Joe rocket Alter ego mesh pants. Has anyone had any experience with these or how do you like what you have. nb

i've been wanting one of those suits for years. i don't ride on the street enough anymore to justify buying one though

I agree, it is pricey, but for street riding, by the time you figure the price for a good jacket and pants, plus the hassle of getting the right fit, it can be almost the same price. Not dealing with leather is a plus, too.
The Aerostich suit can be custom tailored for you if you find one off the rack doesn't fit you right. Their customer service and work quality is top notch... I guess you pay for that upfront. That is a well designed, well thought out MC specific piece of gear was my main attraction to it and it delivers. For dedicated track work, I completely agree... stick with a leather suit. The AS suit can be used at some events, but not all. |

I have the Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants. They have a lot of options, with the inside liner and zip-out panel they should handle all conditions, but I just use them when it gets cold or rains. Are there any specific details you're curious about?

they are the same as my jacket, the side zipper is also on the liner so they are easier to get on and off with the liner installed. Things I like about the Scorpion: the padding/armor in the hip is thicker than the JR, The padding in the JR, I don't know much about padding/armor in these, but to me it sounds like "armor" is better than "padding" and the JR had "padding" in the hip area and the scorpion has "armor". How big a difference is there? I haven't looked at them recently but I think the scorpion has movable knee/shin "armor" where the JR has knee "armor" that isn't movable based on your size/shape. If I am mistaken on these, let me know. I basically looking for something that I can pull on over my clothes. nb

Chris - be careful with the scorpion stuff - the cool hand mesh gloves are the ones that I crash-tested and they did NOT hold up well - ended up melting when my hand didn't even come in contact with anything - not so 'cool' - i'd be leary of their pants for that reason...

I love the Post Office - they sometimes deliver nice things. BTW I've found that when I'm ordering from neweough USPS Priority Mail gets here two days faster than UPS standard. Seems when they say it will take five days, it seems to make it to a terminal in a day or two but doesn't come to mine until five days no matter how long they are going to leave it sit.
Any way, I digress. A :drumroll: please. See and be seen.

I think the helmet should be fine - I have the exo 400 and don't feel at all unsafe in it - it's just their mesh stuff that I'm steering clear if... I even considered getting some leather scorpion gloves to replace the first pair since they were so comfortable - but the A* fit better

So far this is the gear I've got:
Bell Sprint Mako --- is Bell a good helmet brand? Joe Rocket Luna 2.0 Cortech DX Ladie's Glove --- It feels too light... might get different pair soon. ICON Field Leg Armor which I wear with jeans ICON Hella Boots --- the platform heel helps me reach the ground better (I'm only 5'5"). ANY and ALL constructive critique and/or suggestions... it's all greatly appreciated!!

Sit your camera on a tripod, or anything about 4 feet tall, and use the self timer.

Just picked this up!
Has lots of great features plus it will get me seen, especially at night. Which is good because my gear is all black. . . . New dealer here got me a great price on it too. Even if you don't factor in shipping, price I got was cheaper then online after conversion rate! |

Great back pack for sure. I'd love to keep the arm bands as they would increase visibility at night greatly. But damn are they ever annoying to get on, so I just took em off. |
