Pics taken on my short local rides

Since I'm still restricted to short local rides as I recover from my back injury, I've been trying to improve my photography while out riding. I'll post some of the best ones on this thread just to motivate myself to keep doing it.

Thanks guys! I'm going out again on Sunday, weather permitting, and am going to try....drum roll....45 miles!

I'll hit either some redwood groves or the coast, depending on my mood. The redwoods would be a bigger technical challenge photo-wise, because of the dim lighting, so we'll see if I'm feeling lazy.

Yesterday's ride was out to some tide pools. Not a very scenic parking area for the bike, but I got a couple of good shots of intertidal life.

Just to prove I rode there:

49 miles yesterday and the back held up pretty well!

Hee, yeah, given that I'm still restricted to about an 80-mile radius, my choices are limited to the peninsula (urban sprawl/traffic), the northern Santa Cruz Mountains, or the coast.

The coast is best for low traffic and good photos.

Probably not.

I did 80 miles last weekend and I was pretty sore all week. Granted, "pretty sore" is better than the last time I did 80 miles in one day (Sept 2010), when I couldn't walk afterwards and had to go on oral steroid anti-inflammatories, so I try to see this as progress.

I have a question. When there is a flare (i.e. first picture of latest post) is it possible to add something to the camera to remove flares like that?
