After market shifter/brake control pedals?
I have been looking around trying to find replacement shifter and brake pedals. I am looking to try and piece together a cost effective alternative to the looks and performance of aftermarket rear sets using the stock as a base.
I would love to just spring for a nice setup however I am not sure if the wife will like the position when it becomes 100% her bike. With my concept she can add and choose what parts to keep, which will most likely end up being the pedals and not the adjustable mount. It will also make a nice DIY for those strapped for cash wanting an alternative. Anyone used a different bike's pedals with success or know of a place that sells just the pedals?? |

Honestly, I would just swap the foot pegs and leave the remaining equipment stock. Good foot pegs cost around $100. If you spend any more, you might as well just get a full rear set and try to adjust it back to a semi-stock position (kind of a waste). Just getting rid of those bulky rubber/metal stock pegs makes a huge visual difference for that portion of the bike.

That's the beauty of aftermarket rearsets, they are adjustable. Depending on what kind you get, most have several holes to mount the footpegs.

Good god those Sato Rearsets are 445 dollars. I'd love to have some adjustable rearsets but not if they cost this much.

I agree. I just stumbled on the set I have on eBay and got them for a smokin deal. I only paid $165 shipped. The link that vince sent looks like the same ones for the same price I paid. They're just not sato brand.
