I'm founder and CEO of a company with several divisions including a Mold Remediation and prevention company. Currently involved in a project developing and bringing a new concrete waterproofing product to market. We also build large mobile structural drying furnace systems and we have a high end air purification sales division which serves Washington State. Keeps me busy.

I work part time at a local bakery. I work about 18 hours a week along with school. My parents haven't payed a cent for my ninja, and I've managed to keep a 3.6 gpa completely worth it.

Up until 2007, I was serving our country in the military. Since 2007, I have been going to college full time living off of my Veteran benefits, financial aid, and loans. At the junior college I was doing Veteran Work-Study as a digital scanner in the Admissions Office. Beginning of the Fall 2010 semester at the University I have been doing Federal Work-Study as a Web Designer for the Admissions/Enrollment Office and for the Provost Office.
Unfortunately, I had to stop working altogether recently, as my Spring semester is coming to an end and I have entirely too much course work still left to complete before I graduate in May with a B.A. in Animation & Digital Media. However, I have already started looking for work because I found out I wasn't accepted into Grad. school and last Summer didn't fare to well with finding work. I do co-operate a side business with a friend of mine, but it isn't a reliable source of income. Getting SLIME-R was originally an early graduation present, but I am definitely going to take advantage of the $avings. Also, it allows me to have a guaranteed means of transportation in case things get difficult again, as I might end up having to get rid of the cage altogether. |

I work in IT... was doing network/luser [sic] administration, last fall transitioned to new position and am now doing application virtualization (AppV). Frustrating as hell, steep learning curve (to get to an advanced AppV engineer level), but once you get good at it, there's some good money to be made. So I'm just hoping I can get to that level and start cashing in on the hard work.

Also a paramedic. I enjoy the truck, but don't really see retiring from EMS. DFW is probably slightly busier than rural Missouri, though.

System administrator for a software co that makes gov't software. We have clients all over the world. I get to travel sometimes, but not very often as most is done remote. That tax bill some you get each year for your property is most likely made by my companies software.

I work in defense.
Age: 25 Countries I have lived in: USA, Costa Rica, Japan. I think I've been to almost every state, save some of the New England ones. I was in the professional aviation program at my university, until I realized FAA rules and regulations make me miserable. I crashed a plane. Picked myself up, finished my license. Changed major to political science, which was fun but pretty useless without a grad degree. Fell in love with Economics, spent an amazing 2 years in NoVA pursuing and completing my Masters in Economics. Broke up with my girlfriend of 3 1/2 years a few months before graduating. Moved home looking for a full time job anywhere in the SE USA. Worked on some local elections for Nov 2010. Landed a full time job. Met a girl, fell in love, she broke my heart. Decided to focus on enjoying life. Got in shape. Bought a motorcycle, and here I am. |

Age: 21
Current Career: Full time student (though now part-time for summer), and part-time worker. I am moving through undergrad as a Mechanical Engineer with a minor in Industrial Engineering. In the off-time, I race road-bikes in the spring for my school, and work part-time all throughout at a horticultural field lab as 'agricultural support.' I don't get paid much, but it funds my moto. |

I work as an estimator / on-site sales for Lowe's exterior projects. I get to spend many miles/hours driving around central Arkansas going after potential projects and directing current projects underway. Before I took on this role with the company I worked inside the four walls working with millworks and flooring sales. In a previous life, I made a living as a freelance photographer.
I've been an avid mountain biker for almost 20 years. My current job keeps me from the single track due to time constraints. As an alternative, I picked up running and enjoy running 2-4 miles a day. After getting getting crunched by a cager last weekend, it'll probably be a bit before I'm able to return to my running routine, but I'm looking forward to it. |

I currently work as a mental health specialist at a children's hospital where the children are either suicidal or homicidal, it's very sad- but very rewarding at the same time. I'm also a full time student, graduating Spring12 with my BA is psychology and history. But I must really thank my husband for supporting me, he is an aircraft electrician in the USAF.
A sincere thank you to all who are serving and have served in our great military!!! |
