Gear for those with GREEN bikes?
For those of you with the SE Green edition, I have a question. There are a few particular pieces of gear that I really really like but they only come in Red or Blue. My question is which would you choose?
I feel like Red looks like xmas but I feel like I have too much blue clothing in my life. Opinions please. |

I would choose blue, but now all of my main gear is red, white, and black. So two colors match my bike. I wear the alpinestars gp-r jacket and they also have a green and black version. Anyways, I would go with blue if thats the primary color. Red (I'm not a huge fan of red) seems to be fine, but only because it isn't the primary color of my gear.

Green gear is out there if you look hard, but I chose to match my Green SE with white and black gear. Easy to find, and white is great for visibility.

I currently have Green/Black/White gear:
I do however plan to go with just Black/White when I do get new gear... little easier to find something I like and that fits well if I don't bother to try to completely match... besides the bike has less Black/White so if I'm wearing it I feel it brings it out more in the bike

One of the Motoport kevlar suits. The other suit is in the garage and I am too sick today to get up and take a picture of it. I chose red because it goes with a lot of stuff. Besides which, the chances of me having only one bike or vehicle for a long time are slim at best. I spotted a minty used Kawasaki Concours just traded in at my dealer yesterday. It is red. Buddy of mine has one...I like it, it is comfy. I am easily distracted by shiny things!

Whoa... talk about jumpsuit style. Haha I went with a neutral grey w/ light gray rev'it Air mesh jacket. Only has a small strip of RED so I think it works out.

I have the exact same bike...09 SE. Actually looks okay...and quite frankly, I don't really give a rat's ass what others think. Had the suit before the bike and still chose the bike color. Black and green are the company colors. Besides...who doesn't love Santa? I make the kiddies smile.

Oversuit style actually...goes on over your clothes. 40 seconds to throw it on. Damned comfy too. More likely to throw that on than the racier style suit for a weekend cruise or a trip to a jobsite...still excellent protection though...full kevlar with Nearly overkill armor coverage.

Anyone got a 20 on a helmet that actually matches the Kwaki green?
None of the local shops carry anything close to it. I'd love to get one of the HJC Kawasaki helmets, but they don't seem to exist. Total vapourware. I'm *considering* the Icon Speedmetal, but I'd much rather have something like the HJC: |

My helmet that I have (and posted above) match the green... the jacket did when it was new and not faded... and the helmet my wife is wearing (also in the pic above) can be had in green as well and it matches the Kawi green as well...
Mine is last years model HJC CL-15 Mutant (which really isn't available anymore I guess)... but this years model is the HJC Cl-16 Slayer: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...er-Helmet.aspx hers is HJC CS-R1 Daggar: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...ar-Helmet.aspx Of those two I'd go for the Daggar if it were me though All it takes is some searching

The Slayer is not a bad looking helmet at all. If the green's a good match, I may be sold on it. I would love to get this, as I thoroughly enjoy a flip-up helmet; but I'm sketchy on the rumours of a degradation of safety, when compared to a monolithic, full-face helmet: |

Where did you hear those rumors? As far as I know, as long as it's certified DOT/SNELL or whatever, it's just as safe, albeit noisier but still protective.

Shift Chaos Gloves
Just got the above gloves in, match well with my 2009 Ninja (Green, White, Black). Nice and comfortable for hot weather riding. Protection is a bit minimal as their is only hard knuckle protector over the pinkie and ring finger knuckle. |

I wear white and black, with lots of white reflective tape on my helmet for visibility.
