Newbie from Texas

Hey everybody! First off I want to say what a great forum this is. A lot of great info. Anyways, I am new to motorcycles and will be making my first purchase in April of this year. I am going to Canada in March to get married and the first order of business when I get back is to take the MSF course then I'm probably going to buy a 2011 Ninja 250. Looking forward to sticking around for a while and learning as much as I can.

Welcome - we'll have to keep in touch when we're all ready to go. Sounds like a nice little group in our part of the Metro-mess.

Will do turtle, especially considering I don't know any other riders around. I just got the urge to start riding about 6 months ago.

We are getting married in Canada because I have never been skiing before and figured it would be a cool way to spend the honeymoon. It's a very small wedding. We are doing 4 nights in Vancouver and 3 nights up in Whistler.

I'm not from Texas (arizona in fact) but ratheruneek and I had similar join dates, so i decided to jump in this forum to introduce myself as well. Just a college kid looking for a cheaper way to commute, and even after the MSF course, bikes are damn fun! Looking to get a 250 for 1. cost 2. safety (a 20 something year old should not be on a death trap known as a 600 or above) and 3. fun.

This is a well put together forum that I have enjoyed reading for months.
