Nice, where'd you find those led strips?

Is the 8k too blue for you?
I want some HIDs that are tinged blue, not obvious blue.
I was thinking 6k.

the led strips i found at a local pepboys actually.. they are very bright, the camera didnt seem to pick up the light on the ground real good, but at night those 2 small strips light up the ground all around the bike. and the 8k isnt that blue really.. more blue at first start up then after they are warmed up they change more of a white , i have them in both my cars also.. use to run 6k but have since changed to 8k. 6k is a very bright white, not much blue at all... if you want a little blue id go 8k. all depends who makes the HID's too, cause the ones in my car are really blue when you first fire them up were these are not as blue on intial start up .

Nice setup Ed! As for HID color, I'm on my second car with HIDs, always bought 6K. White with a tint of blue, I love it. A friend of mine has 8K, it has more blue and doesn't output as much light. I prefer 6K over 8K, but it's a matter of personal taste. No matter what color you choose, it will be brighter than halogen bulbs. I bought all my kits from Todd @ Retro-Solutions. Received great customer support, had one burnt bulb once after a bit over a year, his "DIGITAL" kits comes with a lifetime warranty. I contacted him and showed him a picture of the bulb, he replaced both in no time. Only had to pay shipping to send the defective ones, really nice guy to deal with.

yeah it really depends on the company that makes them really. ive had so many HID setups its crazy.. all for cars though.. but the last few sets i bought were from a guy off ebay out of edison NJ.. he ships fast and is pretty good quality, at least i havent had a any issues. my car is running a different company HID and are very blue for the first minute.. once warm it does whiten up a good bit. my wifes car and the bike are from the same guy and are digital ballast. her car is even different from the bike and it really looks like 6k.. the bike is a touch more blue but not much. a buddy has 12k in his car, and it actually looks good and may be my next color choice.. its a very bright purple /white.. looks just like what you see on factory mercedes and bmw. it just really depends on the quality of the bulb i guess on what color they actually produce.
