RAM Camera Mount Modification

Had a little break today from studying and remembered that I wanted some adjustments to the camera mount I have setup using RAM mounting parts.

Camera mount on the right is what I purchased and was using but I found it was too large for my kodak playsport and I didnt like the idea of spinning the whole plate to secure it.

I also had an extra diamond RAM mount unused and so I used that instead.

Parts used:
-Piece of 1 inch aluminum bar
-couple of screws that can recess into the bar
-nuts and washers for spacing
-cap nuts for a cleaner finish
-chair leg glides w/ 1/4"-20thread screws (had to trim it a little)
-self adhesive anti-skid pads for padding between the aluminum and camera
-silicone to add some grip to the chair leg glide (I'll probably switch it out with something else when I figure out what works better)

In the end, everything is found at homedepot and only costs a few bucks but I like the results. Looks kinda ugly so I might spray paint it black but I'm feeling lazy.

Maybe it'll give some of you new ideas. Ok, back to studying.

What people will do to avoid studying.

Your project seems much more useful than the ways I've procrastinated in the past.
