I mostly park my bike inside the garage in my apartment complex but it's a bit of a tight squeeze next to the car. The first time i parked it outside, I saw a guy trying to move it out of the spot (with the handlebar locked) because I guess he felt that he deserved the spot more than me. Needless to say, I ran outside and put a stop to it.

Ya, it really makes me wish I had paid a little more a month for an apartment with a garage.

Grr

Hire a private detective or a team of mercenaries and track down and murder the person who did it. Then have them kill his next of kin.

Same thing I was thinking...

I'd be effin pissed if I saw that on my bike especially if I knew I hadn't done anything to deserve it. I'd hate to say this but I'd love to have some vigilante justice right about now...

Call the police, file a police report.. next time something like this happens they'll at least have a record of it. Notify your building complex of the incident, maybe similar stuff happens again their insurance will cover for your damages.

I'm sure there is something in the lease about them not being responsible for damages that can occur in the parking lot so that leaves them off the hook for anything like that...

Crappy but there is nothing you can do except pay the money to get it fixed. I wonder if lowering your deductible for a month and then claiming it on the insurance would work. Then wait a month after it's fixed and raise it up again.

Insurance fraud is not up my alley, and I've already contacted the insurance company anyway.

Cool, let's all hope it doesn't happen again cause that would suck

But seriously. Put up a camera to see if it happens again. Or go to the supposed "security" and give them a piece of your mind.
