That is one THIN front tire! The rear doesn't look much thicker.

Not Chinese brand made in Mexico. Mexican brand made in Toluca, Mexico, owned by Grupo Elektra, a big Mexican financial services company. Top motorcycle in Mexico, 60% market share. Over a million sold, and now selling about 200,000 bikes a year. Since they are everywhere and cheaply made, easy to get parts and fix on side of road. See e.g. Volkswagen Bug and its popularity in Mexico. If you or the random guy in a shack down the road can't jury rig something for $5 to get you running (and he probably can), and one of 500 local dealers can't get you the POS part you need for like $25 (and it probably can), guaranteed part shipment within 72 hours from the factory.

This is definitely a lesson in an inferior product doing well because of knowing the market, providing minimal needed at minimal price, and the benefits of saturation and service. Because these bikes really don't perform AT ALL.
