Whats up, from North Carolina
Just wanted to come and let my self be known around here. I've had the itch to own a bike since I turned 18( my father used to own a few bikes when I was younger and I fell in love with them), and I just never had the time or funds to handle one, what with college expenses and other factors. I finally got outta school and got a job and I went and satisfied my urge. I found an '08 ninja250 on craigslist with about 1k miles on it, practically new. The guy was selling it b/c he tore up his legs playing football. I've had it since Jan of '09 and all this cold/rainy weather needs to go away.
But that hasnt stopped me from riding (safely mind you) during some of those days of 30-40 degree weather. So far my bike has been exactly what I hoped it to be, a thrill to ride and enjoyable, I'm not one of those kids that wants to go 100mph and pretend im at a race track. I got a bike so I can enjoy riding, and now I know why everyone loves it so much Finally, I'm getting into the warmer weather this weekend and hopefully I can log some more time in the seat. Always learning is what I'm told.

Welcome and congrats. I have friends in Raleigh. It's a beautiful part of the country. I had the same feeling when I bought my bike: don't want to go 100...just want to enjoy the ride. So far, doing just that!

Its nice that everyone here is very open and welcoming (one of the reasons i left other boards was b/c people were d-bags about certain things >.<). yea, the Raleigh area is really nice, been here my whole life. I like that I can have inner city environments then drive no more than 5min out of town and reach rural roads that you meet maybe 1 other person on the road every half-hour. I have my city and my country area all around me. Def a great spot to be. I'm sure I'll be posting more often on here about bike related topics once this weather decides to warm up. Til then, everyone take it easy and thanks for the welcome

Welcome to the club house, I, too, am a Carolina native, originally from SC.
You will enjoy the bike and all of us here. So belly up to the bar, the drinking lamp is lit, and Alex has the tab. nb

I'm new here as well Matthew. Not sure if it is proper for a new guy to welcome a new guy but WELCOME, nice to know that someone else is in the area.
I'm just south of you in Angier. Been riding since 1983 but this is the first Kawasaki in the family (wife's and daughter's shared ride). Tim |

Welcome. I lived in NC for a while when I was a kid. Gotta love a state that has the Blue Ridge Parkway on one end and the Outer Banks on the other.
