Need some help with an important decision...

So today its about 65-70 degrees, sunny as hell, and gorgeous. Also, today is the day COD: MW3 came out. Obviously, I have a dilemma. Should I take the opportunity to ride my bike on one of last nice days until spring, or should I spend my day playing the most anticipated game ever with my friends? Decisions, decisions. It is worth noting that my fiance has given me the "day off", freeing me from all "hanging out" responsibilities, so that I could play MW3 (yeah, she's a keeper… so back off). It is also worth noting that I am writing this while in class, and that I rode my bike here, and still have a 30 minute ride home.

Please help!

I'm a bit biased here but... ride the bike. The season is coming to a close so you really should take every opportunity you can to enjoy what's left. Also MW3 is just a MW2 map pack with some extra single player missions. I propose you take the bike out and also go buy BF3 and ditch MW3. Enjoy

I rode the ninja to buy MW3. However, I live in a state where I can ride 365 days a year. The choice is yours, but your riding season is quickly coming to an end. Modern Warfare can easily be played when you are snowed in.

Ride. Nature on a 250R > nature on a bicycle > anything athletic > anything outside > video games. That is, in my opinion at least...

I think you should do both: ride first and then play your new game after.

If you switch the order of "anything outside" and "anything athletic", that's the same for me!

Damn, between overtime at work and studying for school and stuff, totally forgot that it came out last night.

I was supposed to save for my own PS3 since I don't live with a roommate who has one.

I should call up my friend and see if he'll let me play.

Guess by now, you've chosen one or the other. Hope you went with riding and got BF3 while you were out. That's where the real fun is.

In the days before video games little boys used to run around the neighborhood with sticks, pretending they were guns, playing war. Usually by about 10 or 11 years old they'd moved on to other things.

Now we've got 20-somethings playing war. Can't be healthy.

In the days before video games a significant %age of our little boys ended up spending their 18 to 20-something years in France, Guadalcanal, Seoul, or Saigon without a reset button. I'm going to take a guess that's a bit less healthy than mashing controllers.

Where did you get that idea?

I'm pretty sure this post from just 2 days ago is about the most I've ever said about my views of the military:

Quote:
I poached 20 years of flying jets off the Air Force. I minimized the military aspect and was all about enjoying the aviation.
(Here's the thread for reference: http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showt...098#post401098)

During those 20 years I was always of the opinion that we'd made a mistake when we upgraded our military weapons from sharpened sticks.

Was this supposed to make a coherent point?

Was there a pearl of wisdom in there that I was meant to understand?

Is there some devastatingly obvious and irrefutable logic that I'm somehow missing?

Take the bike, cod sucks and mw3 really is just mw2 with a couple extra game modes that could've been released as a $5 DLC. Save the games for the bad weather to come, and ride on days when you can.

I had a similar dilemma. I have been trying to ride as often as i can this week because once Skyrimm comes out everything else will be put on hold.

I used to love playing Morrowind. I had an argonian character! I tried playing Oblivion but didn't enjoy it.
