My Mod thread
Well I figured I may as well chronicle the mods om doing as I do them so here goes.
~Here she is as I got her: ~First mod was a Puig dark smoke wind screen: ~After that came the T-rex racing Frame sliders: During install: After: ~Next came the Projekt D Fender Eliminator: During install: After: ~So far thats it, and this is how she sits atm: Ive got a few goodies from modmy250.com on the way that will get installed this week with a pair of LED Plate bolts that will get rid of what little bracket is there now and I will switch to the second bracket that came with the kit that is smaller. And with a Scotts rear tire hugger. Then next week hopefully will be the Integrated taillight, and turn signal mirrors. After that Ive got planned: ~Either Two Bros Black series CF or Comp Werkes exhaust ~LED's. Either Red or Blacklight/Purple ~Gear Indicator(if I can figure out a secure mounting system for the sensors) ~Corbin Seat and probably back seat as well Other than that the only things I'm going to do are Clip-ons, and rearsets, and an HID kit(after I figure out where I can send the housing to get a new projector installed), but that will be a ways down the road. And Im sure there will be other things that catch my eye as well. Ill try to keep this thread updated as I install more on the bike. ETA: As a side note, I have an extra screw for the side plastic fairings if anyone needs one(I lost one and ordered a few JIC), just drop me a PM and its yours. This one:

Just finished installing the modmy250.com flush turn signals, and relay. I also ordered the diode kit but I'm going to wait on that install till I get the integrated tail light and need it.
I actually had a little trouble getting the nut to tighten down on the right side. I had to play with it a little to get to catch(hence the reason they are turned a little) and had to be careful tightening it down to keep it from popping out. I might see if I can find a nut one size smaller a little later since it only screwed onto a plastic bolt. But other than that everything went smoothly.

Are you having problems getting the bolt on because it wont catch to the thread, or because you dont have enough room for it? I didnt have enough room but if you twist it some, then it gives you more room. Also, I stripped my thread a little bit for my left blinker. As long as you have it on there and its kinda hard for you to move it with your hands, it'll be fine. My will move if I make it with my hands, but the wind does nothing so Im fine. x-)
Nice bike btw!

ETA: I also forgot to mention that I added the brake light modulator as well. and it works like a charm. I played with for about 15mins to find a setting I liked and then tucked everything back up under the seat till I can devise a way of securing all the wires. Probably a ziptie or something like that.

Got my Scott's rear tire hugger in today and got it installed.
Haven't been out on a ride yet but I love it already. Was a breeze to install(took less than 10 mins), and it sure looks like it'll keep the rear shock area a lot cleaner. Fit and finish on it are top notch as well as the paint match. I would definitely recommend this for anyone, and cant say enough about Scott either, he Is definitely a stand up guy.

Man, I'd hang on to that extra screw if I were you lol. You wouldn't believe how those things can disappear once you start working on your bike. I keep 2 or 3 of each of the fairing screws, nylon washers, and plastic rivets on hand at all times. Especially those damn rivets, they break so easily.

I love the look of rear huggers. I'm not sure what it is since you can't really notice them unless you actually look for them but they look good regardless.

To the OP: Hey, bike looks great! Where did you get your frame sliders? I'm looking into getting some for my 09 ninja 250 and I'm not sure which ones I need. Also did you get the traditional ones, or the no-cut? Thanks!

I finally ordered my integrated taillight from customLED.com, and the connector kit for the license plate LED bolts that I'm picking up tomorrow. Ill update the progress when the light gets here and I get it installed.
Next few things on the list are CRG LS Bar End mirrors, which I already have I just havent been able to get the bar ends off to get them installed yet. After that(and probably after xmas) will be the exhaust and jet kit.

I got 1 of my CRG Bar End mirrors installed, along with my Integrated Tail Light, and a 12v plug for my phone or GPS. I ordered a Tank bag, but found out after I ordered it that i ordered the wrong one(strapped instead of magnetic) so i have to return it and get the magnetic one. Next on the list is the connector kit for the LED plate lights that will hopefully be here tomorrow. Then I think Ill be done till after xmas. lol
12V plug: The one I bought, I got through amazon, its from the Battery Tender company, its actually two parts. one is a harness that's connected to the battery with a 2 pin quick plug. the other is a 12v accessory plug with another 2 pin quick plug. Later on I can pick up a battery tender that will plug right up the harness if I decide I need one. Wiring in the battery compartment. Plug connected to a bracket on the right side of the forks. Doesn't affect the turning radius and isnt hitting anything except the bracket that its ziptied to. Down: Looking up from where the fairing should be: Integrated Tail Light: Bought it from CustomLEDS.com. Its truely a plug-n-play light, including factory connectors for the turn signals. All you have to do is unplug the factory light and turn signals, and plug the new plugs in from this light. I purchased the Strobe switch with it, that activates a "demo function" that is pretty neat. The pic is actually a video that you can click on that shows where I mounted the switch and what it does. Bar End mirror: I used CRG LS mirrors that fold in if you hit something or if you just wanna fold em in. They are much better than stock, I can actually see behind me now instead of just looking at my elbows. Still waiting on my second to come in, but I got one installed. The bar ends were a royal PITA to get off, till I went out and bout a torch. With the torch they came off like nothing. The bar ends have Red loctite on em from the factory. I replaced it with blue once I got em off, so that they don't just fall off, but aren't impossible to get off again. For the holes where the stock mirrors came off I went to Lowes and picked up a couple of allen head bolts and nylon lock nuts to replace the mirror bracket. Doesn't look the prettiest but it'll do until I can either pick up some block off plates(which I haven't found yet) or have one of the metal shop guys I work with fabricate some for me. Thats it for now.

Finally got my second Bar end mirror in today after a little mix up with FedEx. Got it installed a little while ago and I'm getting ready to go for a ride to test them out.

It may be a while till I get it put on(like middle of next week) but I just ordered a Ram mount for my GPS, decided to go with the mount that goes in the unused mirror hole on the handle bars.

Here Other than that Im kind of at a stand still at the moment on mods lol. I have the jet kit and pod filters ready but am waiting till I get the exhaust to put everything on at once.
