WheelJockey

Here's a picture of one:

You just place it on the ground in front of your rear tire, and then roll your bike onto it. Easy as hell. Plus, it's small enough to transport with you in a tank bag or backpack.

Do any of you guys own one of these? I bought one yesterday. It makes cleaning/lubing the chain so much easier.

I suppose this would be somewhat pointless to buy if you already own stands, though; however, it is still a great product.

I'd feel a lot more confident with stands, but like you said, those are portable. so that's good.

Harbor Freight has one also, with a little ramp making it easier to get the wheel up on it, and it's a little smaller I think, so it's easier to pack and take it with you, and cheaper too.

It's to the better of my understanding that you will have more pressure on less contact area. You'd be better off without this if you are trying to avoid flatspots.

Anyway, I should've shopped around first. I paid over $60 for mine!
I didn't even plan on buying it in the first place. I just spotted it and decided to buy it. I had no clue Harbor Freight offered an easier-to-use and more affordable version of it. Oh well..

It looks interesting... but at $60 you could have bought a rearstand

I know.
My car isn't running right now, and my only source of transportation currently is my bike. I just wanted to clean my chain and decided this was a good product for the time being before buying stands.
I'll eventually get stands, though.

I don't believe radial tires get flatspots, and bias-ply tires will roll the flat spot out after riding a short while. Keep your tire pressure up during storage, ie, don't let them sit for prolonged periods soft or partly deflated, so you don't damage the sidewall.
These things are real handy, used for either wheel, and like said, great for chain lubes if you have no center stand, for cleaning rims, etc, etc, etc.
