Random stall and FI light

Hey Guys,

I have the efi version of the ninja 250 (bike is in india).

So, I got some mods done:

1. Bike monkey taillight
2. Framesliders
3. M4 slip on exhaust
4. Replaced original with motovision bulbs

Apart from this, the bike was also serviced:

1. Engine oil changed
2. Spark plugs cleaned
3. Disc pads changed

On my way back from the service center, I was slowing down approaching a traffic signal. I had nearly come to a stop (around 2-3 mph) when the bike stalled and just died.

When I tried to press to starter, the FI light would blink and the bike would not start. So, I turned the ignition key to OFF and then back on. This time when I tried to start the bike it did with no hesitations.

Any ideas why this happened? I am not sure but could be an error on my part (half clutch on a gear caused the stall?)

I took the bike out for a ride today and did 30miles with no problems at all.

Thanks for the help.

Never happened again. Just completed a 1000 mile tour and everything was fine.

I did notice that with the new pipe I could not get the bike to go over 140kmph (87.5 mph). Maybe I need to get a power commander ?

At 9000rpm on 6th gear I was doin 120 kmph (75mph), but at 12500rpm I was still at 140kmph. With the stock I have been able to do 160kmph (100mph).
