Thumbs up Pic's of the Custom Seat Creation on my 03

The seat came out great and alot cheaper then a Corbin or Sargent. The Givi mounts didn't come out too bad either. The brackets were originally for a pre 03 SV650. They more or less bolt right on.
Thanks for a great site!
Karl

Looks great! I'm also impressed to hear that the Givi cases intended for an SV650 bolt right on. What parts do they actually attach to because I intend to get a highly modified pregen and I'm wondering what I might be able to attach with it's modified hardware (no fender, custom undertail exhaust, etc).

What did you do to mod the seat? Some folks here have tried the same with mixed success. I'm sure you'd have an audience for some step by step suggestions. (In fact, if you look in the Save My Boys! thread, you'll find detailed discussion of testicular discomfort from the stock seat. )

Thanks for the welcome. I did a search on the net and found a video of someone putting a cover on a ninja 500. Main thing was using a blow drier and stretching the heck out of the cover. Took me about an hour.

The givi brackets mount to the rear foot pegs and in place of the rear bungee hooks.Four modifications I had to do were 1:make a small extension for the right side bracket to hook to the foot peg, because the right bracket is shorter than the left 2:grind the locating tab off of the rear foot peg mounts 3:modify the rear fender with a hole on each side to allow the brace that attaches the two brackets together to pass thru 4:Relocate the rear directionals. I picked up a rear taillight that had the two outer bulbs, so I just hooked up my directional wires to them.
The upper mounts that attach to the openings where the bungee hooks were I used bolts with spacers in place of the hooks and screws.
