Quiet Exhaust
I'm wanting to get a new exhaust for my ninja cause I'm tired of how ugly the stock exhaust look. i really don't want a loud grunty exhaust though. Are there any available that have close to stock sound?

Area P quiet core full system. It's going to be the quietest of any system, and is going to give you more performance gain than a slip-on

I'd like a full system if they are quieter than slip-ons. Wish the stock pipe weren't so ugly. I really don't want to get into rejetting either.

If you don't want to re-jet then your bike might not run right with an aftermarket exhaust. The bike is a system that is engineered to work as a whole. Change one part without changing others and you're hurting yourself.
Why spend $400-$500 and DEGRADE your bike just for looks? Put a weekend into it and get some return on your investment. |

yes. If you're lucky and the 98 main jet is still good (likely if you don't make any intake changes at the same time) you're at least going to have to raise the needles.
If you de-snorkel, I would look into getting size 100 (maybe 102's just to be safe) main jet and testing those as well. |

re-jetting is a pain in the ass if you are clueless,
it won't make a huge noticeable difference if you don't as others have said....if you are looking to get some performace; you have to re-jet

ummm depending on what you do to your intake/exhaust, yeah re-jetting makes a huge difference. The mid range is the first place that you notice it usually.

Yeah I'm pretty good mechanically with Volkswagens but idk much about working on the ninja except for bodywork.

Yes, it's by far the quietest after market exhaust you'll find.
Check out the dB ratings on their site. http://areapnolimits.com/products/Sl...-250R-2008.php the numbers for their standard full system are pretty typical for aftermarket systems. compare the dB ratings for the quiet core system with the stock numbers and the full system |

The area p is much louder than I thought it would be... And it's already the quietest aftermarket out there!!! The sound it makes is pure hotness though...
