as for the Carbs Vs FI... im not gonna lie FI is always better. It just is. but im not opposed to carbs as thats what I have now and I dont mind them

Many EFI systems have the ability to learn their own maps based on feedback from the O2 sensor(s). Those that don't will need to be plugged into a laptop and have the numbers played with a little.

If you change mufflers on a carbed bike, it means pulling the carbs, disassembling them, making adjustments, putting them back together, testing it, and if its not perfect, pull the carbs and start over. I'd much rather play with my laptop than have to shim needles, change jets and such.

But having said that, I will say that the Ninja carbs are first rate. I still think EFI is better, but the stock carbs are awesome and similar in some ways to aircraft carbs. But the fact remains that they are low pressure devices and subject to clogging if left to sit for a while with fuel still in them.

Some day, if I still own it, I will install my EFI kit on my Ninja. Its hard to find OEM throttle bodies right now.

I think one cool thing about EFI is how easy the power delivery is changed. For example, on the KX450F, you can just change out a small piece of plastic circuit, and the bike is completely different...
