Medical Insurance For Racers?
I have been having the hardest time finding a company that will insure me during race season.... every time they hear that i am competing in motorsports.... they no longer will insure me. Who do you use? and do I have to sell a kidney in order to pay for it? thanks!

just don't tell them you're in motorsports, but rather you lead an "active lifestyle" and need comprehensive emergency, ambulance & helo coverage. Not gonna be cheap if you can't get it through work, but thats how you gotta do.

you can find event coverage.. as you know, your normal policy wont cover you and will drop you if you say race..

My husband is an independent and he bought Kaiser's HMO. They didn't question his active lifestyle. Just if he smoked, drank, excercised, how old he was, etc.

Last year WERA had an agreement with Aflac for race coverage. I would check into that. You would have to join WERA though.
