kneepads under denim pants?
So does anyone wear knee/shin pads under regular (or kevlar-lined) denim pants? There seems to be many knee/shin pads on the market, but from the photos it's unclear how bulky different brands are and whether they'd fit under pants. My recent off-road training session made me realize that in a minor crash, the knees would probably take a hit, and my knees have enough problems right now.
Recommendations of brand/model for my purposes? Thanks in advance. |

Yeah, I wear some A*'s kneepads under my kevlar riding jeans. The riding jeans I have are a baggy style, but there is plenty of excess space. Before I acquired my various pairs of riding jeans/pants, I wore the kneepads under my khaki pants when I rode to work.
Field Sheer and Icon have pretty good knee armor for around $60-$70. My A*'s were only $25 and they work well, but they really need a third velcro strap IMO. I have to cross the straps up to get a secure fit; it is a minor inconvenience for the price savings though.

I saw complaints like what Xoulrath said about ones with only two straps. I got the Dainese ones with three straps and have been very happy with them.

Where has Adrian been? He used to ride this way all the time on the GMR.

I wear the Dainese knee V guards as well. I do not find them to be bulky under some 5.11's but a little tight with wrangler relaxed fit jeans.
Not tight at all under my icon riding jeans. |

I used to wear knee armor, but when I bought the A*'s SMX5 boots, I don't think I can use them anymore.

I (used to) wear Forcefield's strap on knee pads with Sartso jeans. I have Sidi Vertigo boots and do pretty much the same as EthioKnight.
