removed the snorkel

hi

I'm just removed the snorkel. The sound is deeper. Do i need do something else? like rejet?

You'll want to shim the needles, as these bikes run lean from factory and removing the snorkel makes it leaner. Their is a thread or two on here bout how to do it.

i don't know much about mechanic , i don't want to mess up anything. do i really need to shim the needles?

is the shop can do it for me?

Don't sacrifice HP and performance for sound. Removing the snorkel without at least shimming is pointless.

A qualified shop may be able to shim the needles for you, but don't be surprised if they have not done it or heard of it it being done to a Ninja 250. You may need to be specific with them, by telling them what you want done and maybe even provide instruction and parts.

The process is not that hard, if you have a little mechanical skill. There are instructions that are pretty good, on how to do it. Consider it a first step in learning how to wrench on your own bike.

arff ... i think i'm not ready to wrench my bike lol , just pull back the snorkel.
