I want to get my Chinese family name tattooed, but I just don't know where or how large. It will look like this:

I also want a monkey tattoo, which is my zodiac. I just can't come up with a good design yet.

Thats why you find a good artist and you tell them what you want and they should be able to design for you.

That's actually a great idea. Definitely going to get one this summer if the artist comes up with an excellent design.

Looks like I need to post up some pics soon...after some of my bike, of course. I've got a memorial piece for one of my best friends on my back (guitar pick with old school pilot wings), Atlanta Braves logo on my calf (because they always have been and always will be my team, not because I'm trying to be a rapper lol), and Bettie Page on the back of my right arm. They all need touched up :/ The first 2 because I trusted a terrible "artist" and I just haven't had the time to get back for my initial touch-up on my Bettie.

i get my work done at Elm Street Tattoo in Deep Ellum. Its been a few years, but last i was there everyone at the shop was pretty damn good. Oliver Peck and Dean Williams own it and they're two of the best in the business.

my "baby's mama" has tons of tattoos. i'm not sure where she gets them, but she knows of a couple more really good shops in town too. if you're really interested i could ask her about it.

These are my tattoos in the order that I got them. The first one is a memorial for one of my best friends, the second one is just because I'm a diehard Braves fan, and the Bettie Page is most likely going to be part of a partial sleeve.

They pretty much all need touched up. The first two were done by a friend who had just opened a shop, and she screwed them both up. She pretty well fixed the first one, but the Braves tattoo is missing part of a line even after I had her touch it up. Needless to say, I won't ever go back to her. In fact, were not even really friends anymore because of her shop.

The Bettie Page was done at a different shop that has become my go-to shop. It actually looks better in person. It looks funny in the picture because I had to contort my arm to take it and the lighting is weird. It's really not even finished yet. I haven't had time to get back in for my initial touch-up.

haha Yeah, I've been sitting here trying to figure out why it looks so odd. Part of it is because my arm is twisted, so it made her face all funky. And my phone gave the shading sharp edges that aren't really there. I will admit it isn't perfect, though. Like I said, it hasn't been touched-up. The face is obiously what needs it the most. He didn't want to keep going on it without letting it heal because he had worked on me for 4.5 hours and the detail work would have been almost impossible in small areas where it was getting irritated.

My latest. Nautical stars.

I just recently moved out and wanted to get something to represent my family. In the old days people used to look at the stars as guidance, often to find their way home. Those who really traveled often got nautical stars, representing their way back home. 3, my mom, my dad, and I, on the left side of the body, above my heart, because home is where the heart is. (Put a lot of thought into it, even though it was small) lol. Plus, it was friday the 13th. tattoos for 13 dollars.
