Oil top up advise

Ok, so my ninjette is running a little low on oil, however, she has 5300 KM's on the books and is close to the 6,000k service.

So there isn't much point in draining the oil replacing filters etc because it will be done soon with the service, but I have a big month coming up and won't get the service done anytime soon.

The dealer I bought it off did the 1000km service kept it with the stock Kawa Oil, will there be any issues if I just top it up with a different oil? and just for arguments sake would it be an issue if I topped it up with synthetic oil given its currently got mineral oil?

Thanks guys

are you sure you are checking it correctly? bike should be perfectly level when you look at the sight glass, not on the stand

Don't mix synthetic with dino oil. Just buy a $6 quart of the kawi 10w40 dino oil and top it up as needed.

I don't see any harm in mixing brands of oils, just so long as you don't mix types.
