Pipe with drilled holes wrapped in steel wool shoved inside your muffler with a smaller opening

Silencer is normally called a baffle. Search around for a DIY baffle or buy one for ~$30.

I made a baffle by taking perforated stainless steel, shaping it into a tube, and wrapping it in fiberglass (commonly called muffler packing, available at most moto shops, especially ones that sell dirtbike stuff), then securing it to my pipe.

I don't recommend steel wool as it'll burn/blow out, and have a weird smell.

A fine mesh could substitute the hard work of making holes on a sheet metal piece.

how exactly would you secure such a thing in the muffler, to prevent it from popping out?

Well I have a yoahi slip on... Worst decision of my life... Waste of my $500 so far..

Anyway, I was thinking of getting a metal pipe slightly smaller than the silencer that yoshi sells (in diameter), drilling holes in it, and warping it in fiber glass, then installing it in the pipe, before I reinsert the silencer back in...

any comments??
