My 250 is a monster....

Or at least it will be soon

Oh god, she's going to be so sexy

Probably won't switch out the fender, not sure yet, I'll see what it looks like

I decided to change the oil (****ed that up!) and ran out of daylight so I'll try and finish tomorrow if I have time.

Also noticed this, is my shift lever bent? Cuz it looks like it lol

It definitely never went down though it looks like some of the paint on the end of the shift lever is chipped off. It's like someone hit it with a hammer or something, weird

Those are really some slick looking fairings. Are you gonna get another Area P as well?

Definitely. These fairings have the rear cowel that replaces the seat so I'm going to get an Area P 18" Carbon Race Exhaust as well. These fairings are cheaper than a new full set so I'll use them as track day fairings in case I crash. It's kinda nice knowing you still have a purty back up. I just gotta be sure to lowside on the left side

There would be some damage somewhere else then, the foot pegs stick out farther but they didn't have any scrapes, neither did the mirrors fairings or bar ends. I thot it very odd. It is bent right? I don't have another newgen to compare it too but on my 1000 the lever and peg are parallel

Well you gotta protect that can, just throw all your weight left. But you better keep a good picture log of progress. Well, look who I'm talking to, hahaha

It is bent. The only way it could have bent is if someone hit it/ it was dropped though :O

It's easy enough to bend back into place if you have good vice and mallet/hammer I would think.

I think a crowbar will do the trick, it worked on my pregen I need to adjust the lever anyway, its too far high up.

Unless there is a way you can drop a 250 and it only lands on the shift lever, I don't think it was dropped

The handle bar could have stopped fairings from being hurt and your shifter would have gotten pushed in. You'd have a scratched bar end though.

That's why I figured it might have been hit. Someone in a low car might have hit your bike, saw that he hadn't done anything, then got the hell out of there.

Dude, let me know how bending that lever back goes. I might have, umm... Set my girl down... (lightly!) in the driveway a couple weeks ago, and my shift lever is starting to get on my nerves.

Put a box end wrench on the pedal and pry it out to where you want it. It's one of the reasons to have a set of beater wrenches around. I have seen a friend drop her new-gen and only bend the shifter, by the way. It's a lot cheaper to bend - a new one is around $80.

im not sure if you care but what about an exhaust slider?
then you dont have to worry too much about what way to fall and you can just worry about hitting them turns and having a blast?

Cool idea, where does it attach though?

And does anyone know how to take the front cowel off? Do I really have to take off the dash cuz it's looking that way

You would be riding on the street with your new street fairings and on the track with your race fairings?

I'm planning on getting the area p race exhaust which replaces the passenger peg. I'm not sure exactly how it mounts so I'll have to see before I jump on it, thanks for this though

Where did you get the fairings from? (If ebay, who was the vendor?)

Once you get them on, how is the fitment?

Bring it down here. Chuckwalla September 21st or November 9th with Trackdaz.

The 21st @Havok and I will be getting our race licenses and racing on the 250 grid the next day. November 9th we're going to put on a noob track day and have a bunch of people sign up for C group and show the new track riders how to have fun

These fairings don't fit, good thing I used paypal! Opened up a dispute, should be resolved soon.

There is literally no way these things can fit on this bike, the bolt holes don't even match up. I figured hey if its not perfect that'll be ok but I mean I can't even get these onto the bike. Pretty disappointed, it woulda looked awesome. Maybe I'll just have to vinyl and sticker it

These fairings are made specifically for a new gen Ninja 250R. If you can't fit them then professional installation is recommended. Sorry but paypal refund is denied. This was an honest sale, please be reasonable here.

They are chinese ebay plastics, not OEM. If the buyer can't fit them then I recommend for him to take it somewhere that can. They are made specifically for this bike.

Some of the bolt holes are 2 inches away from the mounts on the bike. And its like the fairings are too small, I couldn't just drill new bolt holes.

Somewhat related. I was looking at fairings for both the pregen and new gen and I found the sexiest fairings on ebay:

Jiggles, send me the side fairings that you're having trouble with. I'll fit them on my girlfriends bike, I'll write you a DIY with pictures for you to install them back on your bike, and then I'll send them back to you. You ship them at your expense, I'll ship them back at mine, and any difference between my shipping at cost and $100 I'll paypal you back. Or do some research on how to fit ebay fairings, and accept my $100 gentleman/fellow forum member refund.

You would also need the front cowel in order to try to fit this correctly. If you attempt to attach the center bolt of the side fairing there will be a large gap between the front cowel and the side fairing.

Honestly dude I very much want to fit these fairings on my bike. They look awesome. However they are simply too small to fit this bike
