Why does your zx10r only have 1 front rotor?

Funny thing happened this past weekend on a group ride. There was a guy there with a new green 300 and I was talking to him about his bike. He's been riding for years and years and his wife has begun to take interest so he bought her a 300. Just as he's telling me this another guy walks up who is an experienced rider and volunteers to lead/sweep groups on these group rides. He asks the 300 owner "It's a nice looking bike but don't you think a zx10 is a little too much for her to learn on?"

I loled and pointed out the front rotors to him. Hell that's the only way I can tell, particularly when the bikes are green, looks exactly like a 636 to me. And the white 636's look like 300s

Anyone else had their 300s mistaken for supersports?

Not yet, but people are a lot more impressed with the 300 than my pre-gen 250

The windscreen shape/mirror placement are the first tells for me. Of course, the USD forks make it obvious but I'm usually also considering the possibility that it's a 650 (normal forks).

Bars are 250-style top-mounted risers on the 300, tubular-tyle on the 650, and clip-on style on the ZX series, so that's usually where I look next.

We're just hardcore bike enthusiasts unlike the posers out there.

Don't have a 300 but my 250 has been mistaken as a SS a bunch of times...even by cops.

Same here but now the 300 is even fooling people with many years of experience

That's what I'm banking on as well. Although in my case, I think their assumption would be correct

I'm just going to tell people its a ZX-3R when they ask since I have ZX-3R decals on the bike.
