new silencer

since every slip on is so expensive that is actually designed for the bike I am looking for another exhaust can to put on my pregen. Mainly looking for some more noise. I wanted some cobra F1s but they aren't made anymore. Any ideas?

Weight and price are considered because a weight saving is nice.

250 silencer

I am looking for a new slip on for my 04 250. Looking for some more sound and some weight savings over the stock cans. Any ideas? I was looking at just a universal can to keep the cost down. Any ideas? Preferably under 100 a can....

does the TYGA full system fit the pregen's? Or do they have a seperate system for the pregens? I rather like the dual exhaust. I am looking into removing the baffles and just tinkering with them. I like the factory look and the symetry, and I don't care about the weight at all honestly...

Doubt it.

If you like the OE look, gut the cans and replace the innards with a perforated core and some fiberglass packing. Then put the end caps back on. Presto.

How is the fiberglass core held in place? And where could I get it?

Read this to get an idea of how a glass pack works:
http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Repacking_a_Muzzy
The fiberglass is wrapped around the core, then the end cap is riveted on. That's pretty standard for glasspacks.

Aaaand google search 'my $36 muffler' there's plenty of info on Kawiforums on how to do that to a newgen. Just do it twice to the pregen.
