Looks nice with the flames removed. Minimalistic and clean.
The only other things I'd do if it were my bike would be blacking out the exhausts and headers, and blacking out the chrome disc on the frame by the rear sets. That would clean it up even more (if that's what you are looking to do). I love blacked out exhausts. When I finally pick up my 300 I am probably going to be blacking it out too like I did to my new gen 250 I had. I like the look of the pre and new gen 250s. Both have unique styles. If I had my way I'd own a pre, new and 300 all at the same time. |

Nice and clean. I like it!
Did you just use a heatgun and peel, or did you use another method?

It will look even cleaner with blackened exhausts. When you do get to doing the exhaust it would be cool to see some pics of how it looks. |

Looks nice and clean!! I've considered taking off my decals, but I like the stock look. Plus it's a bike from 1999; the paint is probably faded where there's no decals.

nice work the bike looks way better without the tribal flames. I was so relieved when I did the same to my bike. Are you going to move the signals to the pods? It really cleans up the tail IMO.

Don't paint the exhaust. It looks fine the way it is. It works well with the silver wheels. When I am shopping for bikes, if I see spray painted anything it just screams "hack job", or "what are they hiding?" I know that everyone thinks they'll never sell their bike. Even if that's the case, you would be better off just leaving well enough alone. There is a difference between "tastefully clean" and "attacked by a bored teenager".
I'm the first guy to say that I don't like chrome stuff or gold anodized crap, but if it came stock it usually doesn't looks bad. It also might be hard to replace those mint cans if you paint them. Try picking up a set of black ones first and see if you like them. |

Your bike is so clean!! haha I just rode mine today and am feeling ashamed at how dirty it's looking. Definitely needs a bath.
Great job on the decal removal though. Cant even tell they were there! |

haha very true. It's hard to keep anything clean around here with all this pollen floating around. I came out of work the other day and had a yellow coat of powder all over my bike.

Oh no! Without flames, how will you go fast? The flames add the last 10 hp!
(J/K nice work!) |
