What happened to Kkim, the legend?

I've been gone for a while but decided to check back in and say hello to friends.

Is Kkim still around? Anyone know of his whereabouts in the online world?

Wow it's pretty sad to read about the loss of kkim as a member. I do understand in a way why he choose to leave i guess some of us long time members have stopped visiting the site for the same reason around the same time. It got too big too fast and found it had lost some of its friendly appeal and to a few of us felt like a family.

I had learned a lot from him and from his mistakes. He wasn't afraid to attempt any mods or maintenance on his green machine. I will use his DIY's until the day i no longer have the 250.

Thanks kkim for all you have taught me and not to mention the patience you had when i was fixing my bike. You were such a good soul.

Remember the time he videoed himself riding a wheelie all the way up that mountain to work? He was one hell of a rider (for only having one arm).

I still can't believe he got his 250 built to 43HP. That thing was a rocket.

Remember that time when kkim defeated the evil Count Armand and thus, paving the way for California to become the 31st state of the USA? Oh wait, I'm thinking of a different legend... Zorro. But yeah, kkim did some awesome stuff as well.

No it wasn't California. KKim was instrumental in Hawaii becoming the 50th state.

So.....what's the story with kkim?

While I was searching for answers to my many questions, I've came upon many many helpful DIY from @kkim.

Problem is....most of the pictures are gone =(

Did he/she just leave the site and deleted all the pictures he hosted? He/she seems like an extremely knowledgeable person with the patience to photograph everything to write up DIYs so we all can benefit from it.

Too bad he/she is no longer active here

Therein lies the danger of the Internet.

When you find something useful SAVE IT FOR YOURSELF. You never know when it'll disappear!

You might try the Wayback Machine. Chances are stuff is cached somewhere.

We were able to recreate the pics from all but 7 or 8 DIY's, but some of those are still pretty popular. I'm running different forum software on another site, that now has a feature to store every pic that is posted on the site, whether via attachment or even via IMG tags. That way no picture link ever goes dead, for at least as long as the site itself is up. No easy way to do that with this version of vBulletin, so instead I've taken PDF's of most of the DIY's and pasted them into the 1st post of those threads.

Wayback machine doesn't store many pics; I believe it's mostly text.
