Let's go for a ride.

So I finally got around to mounting my ContourHD to my street helmet. Also got around to getting my newest camera, a Tachyon microHD, working. The weather was perfect yesterday so I went for a longish ride down to the Hocking Hills area. Got a bunch of video so I've been working on editing it.

Here's my first video. I don't know why it only uploaded in 480p. Anyway, tips, questions, comment would all be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Hocking hills area? Jealous.

Nautica and I were supposed to ride to WV, but he had a totally flat rear tire and I don't like riding that far by myself because it gets boring.

Here's the route I took. It begins not too far from me, came back to Cbus via 33, it was about 160 miles round trip.

http://goo.gl/maps/oUFvR

It was a perfect ride yesterday. All of this rain we have been getting has made everything really green. Southern Ohio is really beautiful this time of year. Of course the 300 performed flawlessly, and I never even had to think about stopping for gas.

Just finished editing the second vid and will be uploading it now.

Okay, here's my second video. I'm really happy with the Tachyon microHD. For the price it's a sweet camera and it wasn't even advertised as recording sound.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Got this one to work in full 1080p as well.

You need an after market exhaust to cover that wind noise

Here's the 3rd vid from that day. This part of the ride was awesome. Just the great scenery and the open road with lots of curves. If anyone in the central Ohio area would like to go on a similar ride I'll probably be going down there again in the next few weeks so let me know.

Link to original page on YouTube.

I told youtube to stabilize this video, so it should be less shaky. I think my helmet cam shakes around in it's mount, so I'll have to look at fixing that.

Brett and I rescheduled our WV ride for this coming Saturday. If you want to head way east, you're welcome to meet up with us.

south to WV, weather depending that's all I know. Brett is in charge of the route. I just follow and enjoy some curves.

Well once you find out the details let me know. I might at least join you for part of the ride.

@nautica it's your turn to disclose our ride plans. I'll just show up at the gas station when you tell me to and then follow you all day

Never heard of Hocking Hills, but that looks like an awesome route! Maybe we can hook up a time or two when I'm back up that way in August?!

We'll be riding 800s all the way to the WV border then playing around a bit in WV and make our way back on the back roads. A guy I rode with a few weeks ago came from Columbus and it took him about an hour and a half to meet at the Marathon gas station. Here's the address I met him at.
237 E Main St. Freeport, OH 43973 if you want to look. I'm hoping we'll be at that spot by 8:30-8:45 this saturday should the weather cooperate, so feel free to tag along. No definitie route back but I have a few roads in mind we can check out and you could break off as we head back anytime. Be prepared to ride about 350 miles easily, though.
