Annoying noise at 2,5-5 k RPM

Hi! i did a valve job on my bike one month ago... before the valve job, my bike had this rattle noise at 7-9k rpm... then i did the job, and all valves are now perfect, however the noise came back after 500kms, but now has the range changed so it is at 2,5-5k rpm...

could it be my CCT? i tried to reset it, and then there were no noise the first 10 kilometeres, but then it came back...

And btw if it is a valve tapping, shouldn't it be there at all revs?!

well i took it off... pulled it all the way in with a small screwdriver, hold it there while i screwed it back on (that part was hard as ****) and then i removed the screwdriver and heard the "pop" sound, so it should have been reset.

i have heard about a tip... screwing the CCT 2 mm out, so it pops out to next level, and then screw it back in. you think i should give that a try?

By doing that, you would put excessive tension on the chain, accelerating wear.

Then, I would take the cover off and verify the gap for each valve.

Sorry, I don't hear well anymore.

Nothing catastrophic for sure, I would verify the valves' clearance, just to have some peace of mind.

Update:

Got the cover of, one ex valve was too lose. (0,32mm) i have fixed it now, but a little problem... when taking the camshaft holder off one of the 4 8mm bolts broke! so now i got half of it up and half of the 8 mm bolt is stuck (about 1 inch down in the hole...) How the HEK do i get it up! or can i live with the 3 other bolts?

I would find a good machine shop and take the engine (or the bike-coordinate with them before) there for a proper extraction (they have the tools and the skills).

If the bolt snapped during un-bolting, is not going to be easy for you to pull it out with just hand tools.

ok so i tried to reassembly it all again got the screw fixed... and the noise is gone!!! But a new weird noise shows up :S its like the sound from a crow, actually thought it was a bird the first few times i heard it... it comes every time i give it some gas, just one at a time.. could it be wrong timing?

Did you verify the proper angular position of both camshafts?

Does it sound like pre-ignition?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_knocking

Could it be the noise coming from the external chain?
