what is that plastic bit at the back for?

Hey. Probably a stupid question but I wondered what is that thing that looks like a cup on the back of the bike? It is on the part that holds the numberplate and indicators. It is mounted by 2 screws and is located over the plate and bit below the seat... hard to explain but I have no picture at hand. Do you know what I am talking about and why it is there?

Yeah - over the plate, under the light, and between indicators

If I am looking at the right thing, that's the light for the plate. Round oval black thing?

Edit, which thanks for reminding me, mine isn't working and I'd forgotten I need to fix it. Ugh

Hi Seiken,

I think that's the stock location for the numberplate light?

Cheers, Pete

EDIT: OK everyone beat me to it :-)

Looks like you all agree therefore it must be the answer I have been putting a cover over my bike today and was like - what is that for? I thought that it would be a good place to attach another camera
