I pray before every ride on the bike. I am very spiritual and I just ask God to keep me safe on my rides. Too each's own though...I don't knock anyone that does not believe in God. Ya have ya rights to or not to.

To be fair he kinda went off the deep end after somebody compared his faith to a dick.
Not for nothing but that's not the most awesome metaphor. |

you know the whole "god is good" line is often used by radical muslims before either A) Blowing themselves up or B)One of their own just died by the enemy or even C) Killing others.
Crazy! ps: I'm not comparing the op to radical muslims. D: |

I think i will join you with that.
Science and religion, always fun topics on their own. Bring them together and things get interesting quick! Reminds me of a time i tried explaining evolution to a fellow who was convinced two warring planets manipulated Earth's native animals to breed a slave race that would harvest a the natural resources for them. He looked at me like i was looking at him. It was comical.

Only as a response. Can you point in my first post any judgement for not being an atheist? There is none, only a plea not to judge me for not believing.

There is no way that a discussion like this one could have survived three pages at any other site than the civil and friendly http://www.ninjette.org !!!

I'm pescatarian and someone actually looked at me strange and said, "I didn't know you follow that religion?"
I actually bought the Icon Regulator Vest because it has the St. Christopher medallion in it... I can always use 'safe travel'.

Yeah, but I wanted to see how big a hole would be dug (if any) before I brought that into the conversation. As motofool said, things have been pretty civil so far (although it's only 1 page for me).

From what I remember reading (in another thread), OP is trying to get into law enforcement. I wouldn't worry so much about his avatar...

No I didn't, I only pointed out the commonality between a religion (any religion, not just his) and a penis.

Nope
then again, as a non-believer, that wouldn't make much sense xP I don't think it's weird for people to do, though. Whatever measure of ease or comfort it gives people is worth something even if it simply makes them less nervous/anxious about the ride and therefore allows them to react to mistakes or danger more efficiently. Best I got is "FuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKK!" when something doesn't go right. But that's not for anyone but me. If I die, I die. If there was a God I'd think it has a lot more **** to worry about than one kid on a motorcycle somewhere. I mean, really, it's already watching over all those high school football games.

Well, You never know, especially when it comes to religion and politics. I was simply stating my opinion, and trying to convey that I had not set out to piss anyone off, for the sake of civility.

Fortunately for us the Bible mentions the world is round even before Columbus discovered this to be true. It also doesn't deny the existence of dinosaurs. Want me to lead you into prayer, or do you want to start?

I too have the Icon jacket with medallion. If it does something, great. And if it doesn't, great. Worst case scenario: frame slider for my chest.

Go back to school and learn some history. Columbus didn't discover Earth to be spherical. Nor did Ferdinand Magellan discover that, but he did demonstrate it in first circumnavigation expedition he organized.
