Ebay steering dampers?

Anyone have experience with the many dampers on ebay?

I know the GSXR damper is the way to go cheap but I'm not using the stock fairing stay on my project. Looking for something that attaches to the frame and not the fairing stay.

Looking at something like this but I haven't found pics of something like it mounted.

Stay away from cheap ebay stuff for applications like this. You don't want it jamming up at 100mph. Hyperpro is a good choice. I have one on my bike.

Draik has that damper on his bike, has run 3/4 of the race season with it with 0 issues! We started the season with the GSXR damper and it sucked... couldn't turn the wheel lock to lock, ended up causing wobbles at Roebling Road raceway due to the sticktion he was getting in the damper... All around, not worth it to mess with the GSXR set up...

Here is a pic of Draik's mounted, the gas tank is pulled back in the pic, it rides right up on the stalk/mount when the tank is on all the way.

Perfect thank you. The lower piece just runs thru the lightening hole in the frame?

Yes, sir. With a bolt on each side to clamp the post in place.

No problem, you coming to Jennings with STT next weekend? We'll be there and you can check it out firsthand.

yeah, I remember meeting you and checking out you bodywork in the museum lot. We'll hopefully be at mid O as long as they let 14 year olds in there...
