Must be something in the water...

Irvine, CA:

Saw a green pre-gen and thought my commute was off to a good start.

BUT

*HONK* "Youre gonna die young!" - codger in a white suv
- I guess going around him (even though he saw me and stopped to let me pass) in a parking lot is just what tips him over the edge.

Guy in a navy blue suv slows down to try to get me to miss the light (meaning he did not stop for the light himself), then wags his finger at me when I go around him.
- wtf?

Old lady with FOUR KIDS in the car decides its a good time to turn into oncoming traffic...ACROSS FOUR LANES to get to the turn lane, during the lunch rush. She ends up stopped perpendicular to the flow of traffic blocking three lanes. Of course I am now in traffic trying not to slam into her massive volvo, hoping I dont get rear-ended by someone texting.
- I ended up with spit on the inside of my chin bar... I suppose I could have swerved but I was in the far left lane...and she was coming at me.

I hate this place..

Maybe consider that if it seems like everyone is against you, maybe it's something you're doing, not them.

Every day of survival without injury and damage from the cagers is a win. I don't expect a lot from other drivers and they never disappoint me. Notso fast, hang in there, its nothing personal.

Frustration = Precious attention subtracted from the next source of danger

There's gonna be days like that my friend. I can go a week or two without a close call and then one day it's like the forces are against you. Make sure not to put yourself in a potential bad situation , scan ahead and keep your head on a swivel.

Yea its finally gone, but he is right about them building a new one. I will kind of miss those wacky "we lost our lease" commercials.

It will be great to have a brand new one though!
