Thats pretty cool, What type of batteries are you planning on using? At what voltage? I am somewhat of an EV enthusiast but dont have the time or money to do something like this...

Six 50 Amp-hour 12v acid glass mat batteries to drive a 72 volt Mars ME0709 motor (20 horsepower peak). Based on comparable conversions that should give 20-30 miles on a charge, running the batteries only down to 50%.
