Pre fitting leds (similar to those on chiefs armor) some night photos of the leds and tail fairing mod that I did with illuminated under tail running lights. And last 3 pics are using night mode on my phones camera. Im contemplating if I should add another set of leds elswhere on the bike. If youve noticed I removed the tire hugger altogether which in my opinion enhances the rugged look on the bike. Thoughts? Tank will be painted tomorrow and have some awesome white unsc eagle logos to go on the tank when its complete.

Wow, this is so cool. My inner nerd is coming out with a huge ---- uh, yeah, never mind! lol
I also made my own helmet a few years back, I never finished it. But I used pepakura and got all the way to wet sanding... but it had some problems that would never really be fixed and because of that my ambition was very low on completing the project.

So im sure everyone saw this coming. It poured down rain today. Well....im putting the tire hugger back on up front. That tire slung more water on my face then the rain falling from the sky. Geeze. Do I rode with my partially complete helmet today and got 4 honks and 3 "hey nice halo getup" comments. And the helmet isnt even painted. Besides the tank needing to be painted I feel like the bike is lacking the haloish feel. Does anyone have any suggestions that wont end up having me pulled over like mounting a LAAG turret on the back? Im also designing lowered risers and rearsets soon so I can run them through my cnc so if anyone is in need of some instead of spending $164 of our hard earned money hmu and keep watching. Thanks for the help everyone!

Are you going to look for/make some custom leathers to complete the look? I think that would pull it all together.

OMFG do plasma grenade bar ends. That **** would be boss!!! Here's the plan. You're doing this!
You'll need some blue led lights, homopolymer PVA glue, a balloon, and some cotton balls.
Things to consider. Placing the LEDs so that the bulbs are touching the balloon will cause the light to be reflected on the inside of your orb, instead of having little dots glowing on the surface of your orb, the light will reflect throughout the ball. More realistic looking. Doing a coat of glue before the previous coat fully dries will trap moisture in between the coats which would create less clear areas (maybe good for light distribution and realism because the light output would be different in random areas). Also, you will want to thin down the glue with water to make it clearer. Remember, you still want the light to shine through after multiple coats. Last thing to consider: I've never done this! This is purely theoretical. Please do it! I wanna see it! Edit: You may also want to consider coating the bar end in reflective material, since it would be inside the orb. You don't want a dark spot in there

More things to think about
Putting blue food coloring in your glue will give it a blue tint for when the bike is on or off. However, if you decide to tint it, do the whole batch at once or the coloring wont be even throughout. Can't find any clear barends but it would be convenient lol DU EET!!!!

Really cool.
Maybe some squad decals? Lots of times I see army plans/tanks whatever with decals for their squad/unit on them. What was Master Cheif's original group of other Spartans called? One decal with some color would be cool. What color is your exhaust? Maybe a flat black? You gotta get that modern industrial look going on. Drab green leathers and a tactical looking bookbag might be good.

Would battle scarring the exhaust up somehow be possible? Just another idea btw looks and sounds awesome so far, also for a saddle bag type thing maybe you could custom paint or decal an ammo can.
Awesome work so far how's the helmet coming? |

Thank you! Not very fond of saddlebags on a sport bike. I dont want it to look like a beamer lol. Now if I can do it right.......sand and prep the muffler cans, apply vaseline in streaks along the cans, paint the exhaust with a flat black high heat enamel, allow to dry, comebacj with a razor blade and clean of the painted valseline exposing the chrome from below. Bam. Battle damage exhaust without allowing rust. The helmet is coming along well! It was in the paint booth yesterday with two coats of primer filler. Today I began knocking down the primer....soon for paint and battle damage!

What helmet did you start with, out of curiosity? Is it a dirtbike/dualsport type helmet?
Some constructive critique on the bike paint job: Referencing back to the warthog picture in your first post, I think you should add some black 'scorch marks' to your bike paint. The trick would be to make it look like a blaster hit, but not overdo it..... Lookin' good, though. Love the helmet. As soon as UDreplicas comes out with their HALO leathers, you'll be set! |

I don't see any ventilation and you can't open the visor? The helmet definitely looks sweet but it's gonna be an oven.

It has 4 vents. Two in the front which utilize the original venting system that direct to the mouth/nose area-ish and two top vents which also utilize the original vent ports that pass through the styro into the helmets duct work. Sitting still it blows at a light. But city or highway its like ive got a portacool on my head. Still have to insert the vent parts.
