Did someone steal your photos for this ebay posting? or am I just going crazy? They look like your early-on build pics.

The seller is SSR. He worked with SSR on developing these and obviously promotion was part of the incentive.

With the lighter rims and lighter swingarm, you're going to have to adjust your rebound damping a little bit. It's going to rebound a little faster and will need some more damping so you don't pogo.

Do you happen to have the actual weights of the stock and new wheels? I'm wondering how the VRossi wheels compare. It could be just my imagination, but my bike did seem like it accelerated a bit more easily with the new wheels/tires on it.

But yes, if the new setup really is lighter, it would definitely help. If you really want to get into it, even the weight distribution within the wheel setup could have a small effect on things (I think this came up in another thread).

I was looking at swapping a cr500 swing arm into my ninja when I had it Alas laziness overcame ambition -also --- why hasn't anyone made their own carbon fibre rim yet? I've been watching a lot of documentaries on carbon fiber vacuum infusing The curing in an autoclave is the difficult sounding part . But that could be don't with a really big pressure cooker There are already CF wheels for r1 Busa grom Somone has to make them for ninjettes BST would make them for sure they make batch s A batch of six grom wheels is on ebay

Sailboat... You already have a bike to ride, new wheels won't make that much of a difference... Sail boat is a whole new ball park for you to play in

the sail boat market is very volatile and I even found 30' sail boats for free on occasion. Depends where you look , but for such a major investment you should be looking all over the country. The problem with the free boats is they need thousands of $ in rigging and maintenance

People who have money to spend have money to throw away.
Boats are the worst investment possible. I am very careful about how I spend money on a boat. If you get a live aboard cheap then the money saved on a house or apartment can mediate the overall expenses. Typically I buy small boat project. Jet ski, jet boat, older I/o. Get them cheap and fix them. Sail boat rigging and slips- nothing cheap about them.
