Best method to break off stock 250 clutch perch

I just purchased a 2006 Ninja with about 7800. I want to put on the EX500 adjustable clutch and perch, but dont want to pull off the bar ends and grips. The FAQ mentions that people just break off the stock clutch perch, what is the best method to do this?

I am thinking about using a dremmel cutoff wheel and scoring the perch then using a screwdriver make the break.

Just looking for some input from someone who has done it successfully.

Why not take off the grips an bar ends? It takes just a few minutes and it's easy as cake, or pie, or whichever.

Use heat (propane plumber's torch, soldering iron, etc) on the screws to soften the locktite and the screws come right out. Use compressed air through a nozzle to blow under the grip and it slides right off in one second. Installation of the grips with air is just as easy, just blow air between the rubber and the bar and zip, the grips back on.

I run foam grips to eliminate vibration and the weather kills them in a year or so, it takes me just about 5 minutes to change both sides out.

Best to break it.
That way you can be sure it can't be sold to someone who needs one.

I know it takes a bit of time, but take it off and save it. If you ever need one, you got it in stock.
