Hello From Germany
Hello All
I have a 09 250R with approx 830 miles on it. I took my first spill at about 270 miles on the clock. I will get to that later. I got the SE model/color and just absolutly love it. This will be my second site. I started off on Newninja. Hope that is OK. Just wanted to broaden my knowledge with some other peeps. ModsI have done are painting the windscreen, exhaust tip and heat shield black. I have washers for the shimming of the carbs but havent done it yet. Been raining a little and I am on Mid shift, BTW I amin the AF, and I work on the A-10A/C Thunderbolt II. I am a mechanic by trade and currently hold the rank of Technical Seargent. More Later, Peace. |

Hi, and welcome if you bought your bike in Germany it’s a FI model so no washers needed.

Welcome! I spent some time with the Army in Friedberg.
As for the bike, I remember we used to be able to buy cars and bikes that were American spec. through the Exchange. Could be possible he has a US version. Also possible he bought the bike in the US and brought it with him to Germany. |

The bike is American spec so I can do the washer mod. No FI. Good lord do I wish it was!!!!!! I paid 4200 USD for SE, a FI cost 3999 Euro. Thats 5998 USD with exchange. I will probably look for a wrecked bike to pull an FI motor and comp from. Wish me luck. And I hope to have this done before I leave in 2011.
