Very very tempting. Those the next track days at Nelson? And I assume they'll rent suits?

I don't know about how great a time it would be with no fuzzy handcuffs.

Alright I'll have to take some measurement since I don't remember my sizing. Think it's too much for me to ride there and back afterwards as well?

I'd find transportation for the bike there and back, just in case you go down while you're there.

Meet me somewhere along the way (close to your house) and I will haul you up and back to the meeting spot. If there are any problems, I will take you home.

Now what? lol

I have added at least one small cardio workout per week since last update. My round of P90x will be officially over at the end of next week. I hope I'll be at most 152 at any given day next week.

The bad news is I still haven't done any exercising since last august besides an average of maybe one bicycle ride per month although the one I did this month was a century so that was at least something. Compared to last August I'm down 3lbs and up 5% body fat so the puts me at 5'10" 157lbs and 12% body fat. I'm just a tad chubbier in the stomach region to the point that my leathers are to tight so I guess ill be needing to get back into shape here soon if I want to do that trackday at Laguna in a few weeks.

Finished my first triathlon Saturday, had a great time and plan to do several more this year. Training for tri's has to be good enough to cover anything else, because I don't have the time/energy for more training...

I ran/biked my duathlon at Watkins Glen. Finished in a minute and 40 seconds less than my goal! Still at my scrawny 135, no fat to report.

Since I'm back to working in the records dept, I'm making a point to do good squat form whenever I lift a box full of charts (50+lbs) My hill climbing really improved from doing that last year, so I figure I might as well work on the butt again this year while I work

Still stuck at 160ish without much progression so last week I started a completely different workout routine so we'll see if it gets me out of my rut.

Ok final numbers of my first round of P90x are:

149lb
13% bf

And yes, I celebrated all this by eating a giant stack of pancakes.

Planning on starting Round 2 tomorrow.

Going to either be doing the "doubles" version of P90x or if i can get my hands on insanity by tomorrow night, I'll do a hybrid. P90x strength and sub out the p90x cardio (except for plyo, cause i just looooove JUMP KNEE TUCKS) for insanity cardio.

Just don't know what would be realistic goals. Would 10% bf be doable and what would be a weight that could be attached to it? I think 10%bf would be ideal and it would be my main goal, but i would probably strive for 8% as my secondary goal. I don't know and don't think i should care about the weight. I'm just kinda lost on this right now

You could hold 150lb and still loose bf, just takes the right mix of diet and exercise. 8% is kinda hard to get to unless you "really" stick to your plan. But if your happy with you have achieved, nothing says you have to go further, just maintain and enjoy.

Well done!

Thanks!

Thinking about staying at 150lb and losing more bf. I'm wondering what kind of ratios i would need out of a diet with that. I have been at 50/40/10 and 50/30/20. Tried 40/40/20 but didn't like my body much nor the way it was responding to it. I think that is mostly a gainers ratio? I've been sticking to a 1900cal diet. Summer time actually makes that number fluctuate. There are many days that i get less than 1.9k and then there are BBQ days (at least it's mostly protein)

Then i would have to worry about the actual exercise. I could probably do the exact same thing as before, with hopes that extra calories and/or extra carbs(?) would keep me at 150lbs?

While I still have this crazy motivation and determination to lose as much fat as possible, getting to 140lbs+- and being totally ripped for once in my life is enticing (assuming that me being at 140lbs and easily maintaining it is plausible) I figure it will be easier to bump up to 150 if I felt the need to.

I guess instead of worrying about numbers, I should just wait until I'm happy with my body (fat) and maintain that. I still have much flab to lose for sure. I just don't want to have to fight to stay at a certain weight or below a certain percentage.

Haven't posted in this thread in a while.

Been doing gym routines 3-5 days per week and I've come to find out that I actually like running. I'm not a marathon runner or the Flash but I am able to do a 5k at a steady pace without feeling winded afterwards with my heart rate at about ~160 BPM.

I also now have a visible cephalic/bicep vein, never thought that would happen with my boney/twiggy arms. Looks like I've built some definition in my chest and definitely in my biceps/triceps.

Still no elusive six-pack abs, but meh. I've only been going to the gym for a month and maybe more muscle definition will come with time.

I'm hovering at around 8.5-9% body fat. It was as low as 7% when I was basically starving myself and not going to the gym.

P.S.

Alt-J is cray crayyyyyyy.

Just keep up the workout (or switch it up if you're bored with it) and fine tune your diet. Getting into low bf % will take some trial and error and seeing how your body reacts to different diet plans.

Just found this thread and it is interesting to see what everybody else is doing. After a few "WTFU" moments over the past several months, I figured it was time to get back into exercising again. At the moment, using the Deltafit speedshred workout routine, and adding a 30-40 min bicycle ride to the end of it. Still working on the diet plan and finetuning the workout routines to include some yoga, stretching and the like.

Not doing trackdays (yet) or racing (yet), but I do want to be in shape no matter what.

Summer makes it easy for me because I have extra time. I've been bicycling between 15-30 miles every day. There are tons of great streets and destinations to ride out here! It's rare for me to take my car anywhere unless my dog is with me. I pedal everywhere I need to go, including the gym.

Good luck sir! I hope you find the right balance of rest, work, play, exercise and diet. If it was easy, everyone would look like rock stars but keep at it.

So I guess I've made some gains judging by my textile jacket ha. I was riding today and my jacket ripped the seams on the forearm and after not knowing why the hell it happened I realized over time it must have gotten too tight when bending. So on the plus side it's a good sign of making gains, the bad side is the jacket was only a year old and needs replaced..

EternalNewb, injuries suck but keep at it.

Still holding in a maintenance routine.

Tip* Don't let your arms get larger than you wanted. Now it's even harder to get my leathers on and off but don't feel bad for me.

We have had 2 weeks of solid sun here in my neck of the woods. So I did a little test.

Theory:
Loose weight by riding dirt 2 hours per day w/ high protein diet

Result:
2.7lbs loss per week, sore inner thigh muscles lol

Net:
About the same weight loss per week vs. gym, builds different muscle groups but most importantly, I can jump a 10ft gully on a 200cc POS dirt bike and not feel the least bit skeerd.

Do I think this alone would have gotten my into the shape I am in now? No... but like I said, it works different muscle groups. One of the most important is the mind. You can't get that in the gym.
