If things change Cody I have a pair of A* SP1 gloves you could borrow for a trackday if needed.

And Chris, it says he lives in Kent so I think he knows how to get there ha.

Anyhow, Chris, I need some guidance about my tires. They still feel really good, but there's noticeable center-line wear. They're likely a little below the 70% wear that the track wants in the middle, but the sides are still good. I think I'll be fine, but I'm not sure if I'll pass inspection or not... I'll post pictures soon.
The track really shouldn't care as long as you have good life left on the tires. I can't imagine they'd say no to you.

Over $400 on track days is completely out of the question now. It crushes me to have to cancel, but I'm glad I found out now instead of a week before the day. School sucks, rent sucks, my life sucks. In August I'll have more money then I can spend when my loan cash comes in, definitely a track day then and hopefully I'll have means to transport myself there.
@csmith12 and @choneofakind thank you guys so much for extending your ride options to me and trying to fit me into your plans. You guys make this website as awesome as it is...
I actually have a very similar problem. Sadly, I won't be able to go. I was able to get a photography gig that day and took it.

It seems like I will be moving in a few weeks and so saving to move into a new apartment sucks! Stupid fee's suck too! I'll most likely have to pay for both the new apartment rent (and fee's) plus my school bill for the fall.

On a lighter note, I was able to re-register for the CSS Level 1 class in late July! I got rained out the first time

As Cody said, Thanks to you guys for helping out and considering me. I hope to attend Mid-O with you guys at least once by the end of the year though!

Honestly, your good to go unless your hitting the wear bars. Basically, if the tire looks good, you ride. The way they see it, you can always buy another from the vendor.

Thanks guys, that helps. I rode the hard curvy fun route home today, and they felt great, I was really hoping I wouldn't have to replace them. Now my goal is to just round them out on the track. I got some center-line wear from traveling the straight roads to get to the curves ya'll just saved me like $150, now I can get a spine protector if needed.

Still waiting for FedEx to show up. The tracking says today!! Stop making me go crazy FedEx man!!! I'm waiting excitedly, and not very patiently.

Chris, if we get a garage, is it $50 a day, or $50 for the weekend? Want to do it one day or both or what?

and just like that, I'm in business, @nautica, guess who's ATG on our rides now??? no stern glances at my jeans

The chest fits (and has removable memory foam in case I start doing bench press ). The arms and shoulders fit, as do the hips and waist. Legs are the right length. The spine armor is CE certified, not the best I bet, but it's a good start. It needs to be broken in. Damn it's heavier than I expected it to be. The crotch is a bit loose, but it's all that stretchy meshy stuff anyways. Definitely comfortable when in bike riding position, can't stand up totally straight in it. SO EXCITED!!

Chris, I'll split the garage with you for both days. Can you rent that? Let me know how much I owe you, and I'll bring cash to pay you on the 21st.

Bought my spots for the 21 and 22! Even remembered my $10 coupon code.

Dumb question: I don't need a chain guard right? I took off my hugger/chain guard for winter, forgot to put it on in spring, and all my riding with Brett seems to have vibrated the screws out and I lost them, so now I can't put the plastic chain guard back on My chain has been naked for like 500 miles. Will this be okay?

I am heavy one RR rider and if I don't have to pick anyone else up, then I will bring the 250 on the smaller trailer (3 bikes). If I have the room, I will bring the R6 as well but I plan on spending all day on the 250 unless something changes or is needed. I want to get everyone on video even if that means railing the R6 to be able to catch everyone easily. I hope to not get it off the trailer to be honest, shouldn't be an issue picking off some 600's in the N group to catch some 250's.

I want a whole group of 250's so our control rider sticks with us in the afternoon at a pace that I can keep up with.

Oh that's what you meant by prepay. Well I'll bring some money and buy some pictures while I'm there then.

Honestly, his prices are really fair even if you buy them online after the fact. And they're gorgeous prints!!!!

Chris, more thoughts.

Track sessions start at 3:30. We're planning on being there by 12:45-1:00. (and this is with my dad, so we'll be on time, unlike when I had to put my foot on the floor on 71 S last time ) Bike will be all prepped, so this should give us time to help you unload, get setup, etc.

We'll camp the night and hang out.

Do we get the garage over night or just during the times that PTR is on the track?

Then breakfast in Lexington on Sat morning? You have any favorite little local places? We're breakfast people.

Plan on NO garages avail at any time. I will have my 10x10 easy up. A new one lol.... and a geni.

There is a breakfast place about 2 miles from the track, it's not the best but will be fine for filler material in a pinch. Breakfast will be served promptly at 9:30am trackside by Chris's Fine Breakfast's, much like lunch on my grill. hahahahahahha

NO SPEEDING! The cops are out in full force on 71. No kidding, leave early. Between construction and cops you will need extra time.

I have an update as well. I will have a few friends with me. All in all about 10 of them. So a good time is planned but I think we will be on the only one's on 250's unless someone else confirms attendance.

/crossingmyfingers we have others that come.

EDIT: so that means you will not be there Thursday night right?

Correct, I won't be there Thursday night. I'll be showing up Friday.

Wait. Confused. Are we going to try for a garage or no?

Any of your buddies going to be in the Novice group or are they all fast like you?

What food can we bring to help with that?

We can try for a garage but I think cars will have them on lock (hence the track day starts @ 3:30) and we will end up in the upper paddock. Shouldn't be a big deal overall, puts us closer to the tents. I have done it many times.

Pro tip* bring a pad or inflatable mattress. Cots are awesome too.

I am trying to see if I can pull it off, leaving for vacation back home in TX on the 24th but wife and kids leaving the 17th and they are taking the truck (I am flying in). So I have a bike on the trailer ready to go but no way to get it 400+ miles and back yet. Still working on it lol.
