He was waaaay off. Also the current R6 and R1 both have very distinctive headlamps, if he had even a cursory knowledge of current bikes he should have known that it was neither. Failing that, he should've seen the Kawasaki decals on your bike...

Yesterday while I was taking the fairings off my bike an old guy on a full-size tricycle rode up and started asking me if my "scooter" had an electric battery. He then proceeded to talk at me for a good fifteen minutes about the Chinese and their amazing battery powered scooters.

I have never, in my life, wanted so badly to die.

Wish I had something smart ass to say. But I didn't. Just told him doesn't matter to me , I don't ride with anyone.
Heehee, got one for you:
"I wouldn't want to make my friends wait up for me.."
"Oh it's very convenient for them, they know that if they need help getting their bike out of the ditch on the corners, I'll be right there to give them a hand. It's a ninja, I don't have to worry about cornering."

"You know...most riders go their whole life without ever getting hurt but that doesn't make the news so that's why you have that impression. The better question would be why are people allowed to drive cars without taking the kind of safety courses that motorcycle riders have to take? We're not the dangerous ones, no offense. Shoulder checks, drivers do it once during their test, we do it every few minutes. You never hear about motorcycles running people over or cutting them off."

Okay it's bit long of a reply but maybe you'll convince the fear-monger to shoulder check once in a while?

Heehee, but he's on a 250 ninja forum, not a 600 forum!

You know me, I've never bugged the kid about anything. I suppose he did get a lot of picking on for asking certain questions that led people to believe he'd never ridden before.

Actually, any young male on a 600 as a first street bike kinda scares me. Too many seem to leave us early.

Things people say about your ninjette that make you lol

So I was riding my bike around my work plaza on my break and I stopped to let some people cross the road. I didn't have my helmet on so I heard this next question very clear. A guy looks at me and asks "Is that a Ducati?" I almost fell off my bike lol

What have you heard that made you laugh?

I was riding through a construction zone & when the worker turned the sign from stop to slow he motioned for me to do a wheelie. I couldn't help but smile and just gave him a nod.

I get that too from time to time since I ride and smoke. I usually just look at their gut (if they have one or not) and tell them "So do cheeseburgers."

Today I got:
"There you go, Boo"

Pretty classic. I've also gotten a bunch of "you ride a motorcycle?!" when I'm walking into my building with my helmet and jacket in tow. In my head I'm thinking: "nah, I just think it makes me cool if I walk around with an armoured jacket and helmet all the time!"

The bikes here are generally below 150cc, so they do have pretty good mileage figures. 250-300 would be pushing it though... Lol 100-150mpg would be closer to the mark...

I was at a party at my friend's house one night and their pretentious dick roommate was home. I had been getting a lot of really great feedback from people about my Ninjette, especially being the only girl in the group to even have their license/motorcycle. But this guy just couldn't let me soak in the glory!

him: Yeah, so I heard you got a bike. What is it, a 600?
me: No, it's a 250.
him: What?! You should have gone with at least a 600! Then upgraded to a 1000, you can't do anything with your little bike.
me: Why would I need a bigger bike, I'm a beginner and it's not like I'm going to be pulling wheelies and ****.
him: No, because you can't pull wheelies on a 250.
me: Hmmm, let me just recap... do you even have a motorcycle anymore?
him: No, I sold it...
me: Ahh, well then how about you can give me a hard time about my motorcycle choice when you actually have one.
him: *turns head to talk to the guy next to him*

I know!! Well, I don't know first hand lol but I've seen plenty of videos online showing people doing wheelies on 250s. I think he was just being, how you guys say on the forums, a squid? lol
