Here's My 88 ninja. I have done quite a bit of work to it to get if from the very sorry state I purchased it in.
When I picked it up: Now: (excuse the dirt) A rough idea of the work I have done to it: -ALL Maintenance (oil/valves/plugs/all new hoses/coolant flush/carb sync/new clutch cable/new battery/blead brakes) -Replaced Carbs -Fender Eliminator -LED Tails and signals (flush mounts) and supporting mods -Misc wiring (repairing harness) -Installed and balanced new tires -Extensive plastic welding and repair to front fairing -All new body hardware (bike came with no hardware at all) -Painted bike (bedliner) -Rewelded frame and kickstand from "modifications" done by previous owner and thats about it so far! |

@choneofakind: fantastic pictures. I can tell from the way you look after your ninjette and talk about it, you really love her.
I like the Giant too. I'm trying to figure out what XC bike to get myself at the moment. |

Check out the giant Trance line. The X1 has the oversize head and a through-axle fork with fox shocks and pretty good components. Of you're looking for carbon, the Trance line also has the option of carbon with the Trance Advanced and Trance Advanced SL. That's what I'll be looking at next. Or if I want something capable of drops and more than xc, the Reign is where it's at. Or the trek remedy. People really like the trek remedy. American made baby! Posted via Mobile Device Edit: also worth checking are the cannondales with the lefty fork. They're impressive as xc bikes go. Don't let the fork fool you, they're very solid and very capable for xc riding. I got a chance to talk to and ride with the owner of one when I was at a local mtb park. He loves it and says it's more rigid than any of the standard forks he's used and he totally doesn't even notice that it's a lefty |

Jono I love the white and headlight. I am jealous. I've ordered some LED headlight for mine, will see how it is when I get it in. I like the rubber boots on yours as well.

Lookin' good Jono. Your naked ninjette looks really nice in white. I like your front fender too, or what's left of it.

Thanks everybody! It was a fun little project and I like it more than when it was stock. Well almost. I kinda miss the little wind protection that the front fairing and windshield provided. But I rarely ride on the interstate so it isn't a big deal. This whole project has been a slow process but it's finally coming back together. http://http://www.ninjette.org/forum...d.php?t=100916 Sometimes crashing your bike can be a good thing I guess. NOT RECOMMENDED As for the fork boots I got them on ebay....http://www.ebay.com/itm/fork-boots-g...sories&vxp=mtr |

I finally got the ones from the photographer from mid-ohio figured out.
MOAR pregen pictures! and here's a cool one in all the fog last night. Unfortunately this is the clearest one that I got, because in low-light mode, the camera has to be perfectly still... but it shows that there's not much errant glare from my HID's. I got enough vinyl in the right places, and the hi/lo kit allows me to have a high beam and low beam that is pointed down more. I'm still thinking about doing a projector in the headlight to completely eliminate the scatter, but this is pretty good until I get around to that. and this one is out of focus, but I thought it was cool anyways. It shows how much using running lights add to your visibility, even from a distance and out of focus done picwhoring for meow |

@choneofakind Nice pics! I am very jealous you got on the track this summer. I hope I can somehow get out to a track next summer. But the chances aren't high. Your bike looks nice as well!
And thanks! I put clip-ons on her monday and it made it a different bike! It feels like a SS. Same riding position as my friends R6. I need to get pics of them. I was thinking of getting the rearset adjusters before I got the WC clip-ons but I don't see the need for them. Idk, they might still be nice. |

Here is "Jinna" my 2007 Ninja...first pic is at Nickajack Lake in TN...second pic is near Suches, GA...third pic is "Jinna" with her big sis "Tra'Shell" (a Hayabusa).
No serious mods...she is my commute bike...the Busa gets all the attention when it comes to mods BUT the Ninja got a stock black exhaust, new windscreen, added Twisted Throttle Rack, red chain, and flush mount turn signals. |

My 07. 6K miles. Flush Turn signals, flush mirrors, smoked windshield, fender delete, Smoked rear lighting with led's. I think its lowered but i'm not positive. I just bought it so I haven't gotten around to digging into it. Next will be tires and all maintenance then the modding will continue where the previous owner left off!

@dvannoy what are you thinking in the ways of tires? I have Pirelli Diablo Scooter tires and love them. They keep the stock sizes and are uber sticky
I have used Bridgestone BT45's and they were great for the first 2000ish miles, then they started wearing badly. (The front tire scalloped badly) Those handled very well though, my only issue was the wearing. The Diablo's are better than the BT45's for turn-in and feeling planted mid-corner. They also flick back and forth quicker. Just my on tires since you were talking about needing new tires and I see you have the Dunrocks on there. |

The 90 series tires make the speedo accurate (nice) and make the bike behave like it would with a 15T front sprocket (also nice) The compromise is that the 90 series tire weighs more and resists tossing the bike around a little, but that's only noticeable right when you swap. The bike is still very nimble

Woot woot! People like those as well for the pregen. I never got around to trying those just because the Diablo's were so cheap. Have fun on the track!! You'll love it. I can't wait to get back out there.
