The 250 is very different from any of my other race bikes. I feel like Gumby on this little thing. The photographer didn't catch the ones of my chin on my hand.

KrazyMan, you on a 250 in dem 1988 pix?
Was that the old track at Laguna? What a bumpy, scary fast, super fun, very rewarding track that was. I forget when they redesigned it and made it a World Class track. I rode all the old hobo tracks that were so dangerous they have rebuilt most of them.

Below are some pictures from 1983 and 1984 at the old Laguna. The B/W is on my TZ125 in what was the old T9 now T11, and the colored photo is on my TZ250J (#57) in the Corkscrew. Don't think Rossi's pass on Stoner would have worked back then And as you say, it was bumpy, scary fast, super fun very rewarding, but had a lot of steel armaco barriers everywhere. Airbags....nah we had tires or haybales as extra barriers |

Coming down the front straight into that long lefthanded sweeper was a rush to say the least. It reminded me of Bridgehampton's long 1/2 mile front straight, under the bridge, then a downhill right sweeper. You held full throttle all the way and hoped you could still see as you went through all the bumps.

Cool thing is I have a video of it. Funny thing is that once I hit the haybales, you hear my friend go "S**T! and the camera lens points to the ground....because he wanted to see what was happening rookie cameraman mistake... Wish I would have been able to go back east and race Bridgehampton. Loved Loudon though! Was friends with Don Anderson and David Curly Curtis who I raced against Dale crashed out in 9 right? I was a huge 1/4ley fan, as he was fast and an underdog. I also thought his van with the green flames was so cool! |

bike number 502. its a little excessive but it helped from going wide and messing up the quick left corner coming up.

Justin, I see nothing excessive and Mike (510) amazes me how fast he is nearly straight up like that.

#510 is riding Dave Pullen/Lynda Jenkins's old bike (very unique paint). When I was racing against it in the Southeast, it was very well sorted.

However, this said, #502 is using the body position that most current sport bike geometries are designed for and road racing schools teach. ...imho Last futzed with by KazMan; June 6th, 2013 at 05:06 PM. |

These are from my first track day last weekend at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings, OK. I can't wait to go back so I can get my sloppy form sorted out. On the track, I felt like I was much lower on the tank. I also had trouble with my inside foot slipping on the peg. My right boot scraped once in turn 10, but I never managed to put a knee down. Regardless, I'm addicted now and we are planning a return for Labor Day weekend.

^^ that's where I'm at geeker. I felt so awesome while riding. Then looked at pictures. Cool pictures, but disappointing.
Now I have 2 weeks until I get to do back-to-back track days with csmith12 and work on that sloppy BP again!!! I gotta remember to OM-NOM-NOM on the back of my hand in turns and really relax the outer arm. |

Since today was the first time I attempted getting off the bike, I'm glad the photographer was in one of the corners.

Hello all. First post here and found this thread would like to add to it. I dont have any pics of me on the 250 yet but should have some soon. Only had it for a couple weeks and raced it once but am not up to speed yet. Havent raced in a couple years so its taking me a little bit to get it back.
Any way here are a few of me on a couple of my CBR 600's from the past. |
